Personally I think you have them out of order. And the NY Times/Swedish thing should have been first. And anything involving Gee should be ranked higher than anything involving Dan. And anything involving the inherently stupid expenditures of the tithes should definitely have made the list.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Those were difficult years for me, Doc. Thanks for disinterring a painful memory that I had until now successfully repressed.

Do I get partial credit if I should happen to know off the top of my head that the part of Mr. Foley was played by Cleavon Little?

All the Best!

What a year it's been and I applaud your scholarship professor. Your mastery of literary references have left a feeling of emptiness with me I haven't felt since reading The Wall by Jean-Paul Sartre. What a testament to the dark cloud of Mopolgetics that hangs over us. Though, you did not leave us in peril, and extended your hand in mercy in the end. An important lesson you have given us, my friend. I, too, look forward to merriment that only comes from mingling with friends over turkeys and dessert, with good conversation in between to stay the loneliness, and the temptations that follow.
Lou Midgley 08/20/2020: "...meat wad," and "cockroach" are pithy descriptions of human beings used by gemli? They were not fashioned by Professor Peterson.

LM 11/23/2018: one can explain away the soul of human beings...as...a Meat Unit, to use Professor Peterson's clever derogatory description of gemli's ideology.

Tim The Enchanter: Your rendition of "The 12 Days of Christmas" is absolutely splendid, and I hope very much that you'll do us the pleasure of a spirited rendition of it at our annual shindig. I understand that Dr. Darth J is a terrific fan of roast partridge--not to mention many turkeys and desserts.

Actually, you get five stars, Dr. Consiglieri. All the best, and seasons greetings to you, my friend!

Dean Robbers: I can't help but feel that you're chastising me for my lack of participation in the backgammon tournaments that are so popular with the Occult Sciences faculty. What can I say? They always invite all those ringers over from BYU, and I don't like the skewed playing field.

Still, I am, as ever, grateful for the bounty of turkeys and desserts. And I believe I heard a rumor that somebody (maybe even one of the BYU ringers) will be brining an ancient Nephite weapon to play around with afterwards, flinging projectiles into the snow.

I think this is where Mopologetic action will be in the coming years. While apologetic, and not Mopologetic (Mopologetic above all being characterized by nastiness), it does glean from Mopologetics of years past. Indeed, I imagine that this movement will continue to recycle Mopologetics (unattibuted, of course) in a more PR-friendly form for years to come.

I second this vote!

Also I second the Swedish Intervention.

Scratch, these two, in my view, were the MOST important events in the entire year. They were far more important than a has-been apologist apologizing for his poor judgment. DCP is just not an important figure anymore.

Why, DCP might find that to be the deepest of the thousands of cuts he's received here at MDB over the years.
