9. Old Copies of the FARMS Review Are Shredded. The Mopologists' flagship publication, the FARMS Review, became a collector's item in April of 2013 after it was learned that the entire back supply of old issues was shredded.

This was a non-story as per the link. I understand the need to reach in a slow year though.

Which, of course, makes me wonder what will happen with the e-versions of the old Review. If my suspicions are correct, I would expect the MI leadership to try and get rid of the links. Perhaps they'll turn them over to Mormon Interpreter, or perhaps they'll simply be made to vanish.

4. FAIR is Funded by The More Good Foundation, Which is Funded by the LDS Church. In spite of decades of denials on the part of apologists that they are in any way "affiliated with" or "connected" to the LDS Church--be it financially or otherwise--a series of absolutely stunning documents surfaced which revealed a fascinating chain of payments being shifted from one apologetic organizaiton to another. The "More Good Foundation," connected to notable FAIR Mopologist Allen Wyatt, was shown to have been paid hundreds of thousands of dollars from the "LDS Foundation for the LDS Church," which appears to be one of the many organizations owned by the LDS Church proper. Further, at least one of the documents shows that FAIR was given $2500 one year by The More Good Foundation.

In spite of this, the apologists--notably FAIR President Scott Gordon--continued to deny that they've ever been "paid" to do apologetics, or that the Church has in any way funded them. While these documents *do* seem to show rather definitively that money is changing hands in a very interesting way, it nonetheless feels like we haven't yet come to the conclusion of the strange and secretive shell game that is the Funding of Mopologetics.

I too think that the Hans Mattson issue was big in 2013. But this list is concerned with Mopologetics, as opposed to Mormon Studies or ExMormon issues, so i think the top ten topics are appropriate.

At approximately 10:00 pm EST on December 6, 2013, the read to write ratio on this thread was more than 122:1, with more than 5500 reads.

Considering that MDB only has 1000 registered members, this kind of intense interest and readership, including Mormons, Ex-Mormons, Non-Mormons, Mopologists and Apostates alike, surely makes MDB the undisputed Board of Record for all things Mopologetic. Furthermore, it provides clear evidence (as if any more were needed) that you remain the foremost authority in the field of Mopologetic Studies.

Dear Dr Scratch.

Sorry to bother you during the Cassius Festivities and egg nog slugging competition.
But, if I may be so bold, is there perhaps a justification for you perhaps having a rethink, a revisiting of your deliberations, on the subject of the Mopologetic 10 most impactful, eventful, significant, happenings in light of the recent "Race and the Priesthood" which has thrown under the bus an industry of mopologetic argument on the subject?

Once again, I apologise for intruding in the staff room like this, I shall get back to mopping the corridors....
