The Erotic Apologist wrote:How does this support your bizarre-o claim that the "Allied powers" blamed Germany for the assassination of Franz Ferdinand? Do you even bother to read what these websites say before you cut-and-paste?LittleNipper wrote:You must be losing it. Franz Ferdinand was the Archduke of Austria (heir to the Austrian throne) who was killed by a Bosnian Anarchist. Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia on July 28, 1914. The next day, Russia reacted, mobilizing its army. On July 31, 1914, the German Empire gave France an ultimatum: in the case of a war between Germany and Russia, France was to remain neutral. At the same time, Czar Nicholas II was requested – also per ultimatum – to halt the Russian mobilization. When this ultimatum was ignored and the Russian government did not recall its army, the German military issued a declaration of war against Russia. On August 1, 1914, Emperor William II signed the war declaration ---- marking the beginning of what the American historian George F. Kennan (1904 – 2005) described as the 20th century's "seminal catastrophe" – The Great War. As if gripped by madness, Europe's political leaders gave up the continent's relative wealth, stable political relations and cultural hegemony over large parts of the world in the summer of 1914 ---- a tangled web of European ingenuity. Are you suggesting the vast majority of Germans who were responsible for the Holocaust weren't Christians of one sort or another?LittleNipper wrote:The Nazis believed/promoted in a fictitious Aryan Race (hardly of Christian origin) , see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_raceI'm not blaming anybody. You're the one who brought up Nazi Germany, not me. You're also the one who made the bizarre claim that the Allies blamed Germany for Franz Ferdinand's assassination. Are you now trying to back away from that claim as well?LittleNipper wrote:...was a vertable haven for Jews from Russia, Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, etc. compared to how they were respected everywhere else.
I'm going to make an explanation that even you might understand. Let's say Obama visited Serbia. And let's say that both he and Mrs. Obama were assassinated after their motorcade route was changed and a series of seemingly inappropriate procedures were inacted that placed Obama And Mrs. Obama in harms way. And say Serbia refused to cooperate with a USA investigation. Do you imagine that the USA might just declare war on Serbia? If the USA were to be fully exonerated for attacking Serbia under such circumstances, then why not Germany and Austria?
