Re: Another Stake in the Heart of Atheism
This is not so much another stake in the heart of dead atheism but here would be a good place to make this point. Atheist zombies are fond of saying proof destroys free agency. This is nonsense. Satan had proof yet was free to rebel and take a full one-third equality free souls with him. The Jews saw Jesus prove himself to them yet they were free to kill him. You can take this same idea all through the scripture s and human history.
Yea, The Apocalrock proves much and remains constantly before our eyes.T possibly this would be a good time to post the pic of Noah holding a dove with a deer next to him as if still on the ark. Have to change from my phone to a computer.

Night, I think of you as a friend, but your posts are becoming less rational with each addition.
Something has changed. This is truly a question from a friend. Do you think it might be time to discuss all this with someone of a professional nature? I know you don't see it, but your friends here do.
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

I suggest you stuff your pretence. Your making the same lame attempt to shame me so not to make any rational defense of your passion for faithlessness as the rest of club dead.
Please make a cogent point of my precise irrationality. You won't because if I defend against all wonderfully in rational dominance I deserve a doctorate of merit. That you fear as do all the spiritual zombies.
It is just so LDS in hypocritical cowardness. Somehow their shy ways have become your ways. It has been too long a repugnant massage of my image to act as if I NEED kid glove treatment. What crap.

Indeed they do.

NL, I'm with Quasi and DrW on this and I consider myself your friend not foe.

I thought that I'd most recently seen this claim made by believers, not atheists.

You see, bud spud , consensus is all. The moaning dead are scared poopless that my great rationale might break the damnation of faith they have well
stanched over the years. So this assault upon my sanity is only to scare the rabbits back down their holes.
It has been the same tactic from the LDS for forty years....marginalize out to the fringe. Yet I continue to prosper and unfold mystery after mystery, or revelationion on revelation, that they might run upon me in their madness.

Night, I don't think the timing of your rant, right after GC, is a coincidence.

Re: Another Stake in the Heart of Atheism
This thread didn't read like I imagined it would. I came into it thinking that there were so many new wards in the Heart of Atheism, from all the new converts, that they had to create another stake. Boy, was I wrong.
Trimble, you ignorant sack of rhinoceros puss. The only thing more obvious than your lack of education is the foul stench that surrounds you.

Well, I guess there is little point in saying this again but contrary to what you think, I would love it if your arguments for God actually worked even a little. It would be quite interesting and glorious if it were so. No matter how charitably I read it, it doesn't fall together since to me your reasoning is a combination of special pleading, misinformation and common logical errors even if some of your preaching sometimes has a certain independent moral force.
You once brought up the issue of various species being found isolated to separated land masses as if this disproved something. Ironically, going down that path leads to some of the most stunning proofs of evolution used by Darwin himself who had an incomparable knowledge of the geographical distribution of both living creatures but also fossilize forms. The evidence is massive in this regard but must be meticulously set out in great detail while keeping track of the logical implications the way a forensic detective would. That's why Origin of Species is so long. I can tell you haven't read it.
Besides, many people believe in God and evolution at the same time---something you should consider.
As far, as the mental health thing, the problem is that it is hard to ignore the common fact that thinking that one is a lone unappreciated prophet is often associated with mental illness. If you add that to the extreme pareidolia that you report then one can't help but wonder what is going on.
By no means do I think you are simply insane and you clearly seem to be functioning in society in practical terms.
Finally, I must admit that when you restrict yourself to analyzing scripture, you can often but not always seem to exhibit good sense, and a certain amount of rhetorical power and poetry. This and other things make you quite likable at times and I think you have to realize no one wants to shut you up or persecute you. We want to convince you of a few things that are really well supported by the evidence.
when believers want to give their claims more weight, they dress these claims up in scientific terms. When believers want to belittle atheism or secular humanism, they call it a "religion". -Beastie
