Philo:
Please do us the favor of going on RFM's podcast. You have a talent for speaking and explaining things in an informative and relaxing way, mixed with infectious enthusiasm. I might be jumping the gun, but I could envision you as a frequent guest on the Wednesday night show with RFM and Bill Reel. Anyway, let's see you in action.

Recognizing you applied horribly flawed logic against the evidence in forming your most central world view is maybe the hardest mental-emotional-psychological-relationship thing imaginable. It was the hardest thing I've ever gone through, anyway.

Apparently, Kerry's old partner in crime (Jeff Lindsay) is still touting his defunct apologetic materials:
Lest we forget! Behold the resurrection!

Shinehah has been thoroughly disproved here:
Jeff Lindsay and Stephen O. Smoot take aim at Dan Vogel over “Shinehah”

Mormanity
Kerry A. Shirts' "Mormonism Researched" Pages - back at last! One of my favorite LDS writers is back online, featuring loads of great research on the LDS scriptures, including the Book of Abraham, and related topics. See, for example, his article, "Abraham 3:13 - Shinehah - the Sun: Joseph Smith Shines Through on This One Also." Can the critics explain this one away?

thank you for this. It really is interesting evidence. I will look at this again, it's been a while.Gabriel wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 5:48 pmPhilo,
It may be implied in your OP, but since it is not explicitly mentioned, I'll just add that Adam Clarke's commentary on the Book of Genesis provides any number of speculations which could have easily seeded Joseph's creative imagination for the Book of Abraham. I'm almost certain that you have already read this, but I will post the link for anyone interested.

It is my dear friend. It is one of the true downsides of the entire Mormon paradigm of their psychologically locking you into something like this with no real ability to check for yourself, until you are adult, and by then, brainwashed quite strongly. However, we are living proof it is actually possible. I know exactly what you mean, as I have been there done that too.

Yeah, I think we are gonna make it happen. However, really, honestly looking at it, RFM has had Brent Metcalfe, Robert Ritner (live and on video to boot!), Brian Hauglid, etc. I am really a nobody. I mean, seriously, why on earth would anyone care what I think now? However, we are in the process of doing it. I gotta get some things in line first. But, I really hope no one regrets it, especially me. I would hate to be the one to kill off RFM's podcasts due to pure unimportant boredom...Dr Exiled wrote: ↑Thu May 13, 2021 5:56 pmPhilo:
