Little Nipper, you should know that as a proud owner of a BlueBird Wanderlodge Motorhome, "I wonder as I wander" has a very special and personal meaning for me. Thank you for posting that.

- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco

While an individual cannot deal with all the troubles of a sinful world, God does provide opportunities to give and receive blessings. Sometimes we miss those opportunities God gives us.

I loved this record as a little tot and I still do. My dad had the copy as a 45 RPM record. The 1950's saw many changes --- 78's transitioned to 45's, Hi Fidelity progressed to Stereo, and Radio programs became Television Shows. Here is an international favorite from the mid 50's when good music was also still so very "Popular." The Portuguese Washerwoman --- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8WVEUqHo_U

While I'm at it, Let's not forget the Theme to the Orson Well's movie "The Third Man," Also known as the Harry Lime Theme. This tune remained at NUMBER ONE FOR 11, ELEVEN, 11
weeks in the US in 1950. It became an international favorite and had notable play throughout the 1950's. I saw the move via the EARLY SHOW in the early 1960's. It was a really great noir mystery in black & white. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8jN1treRKQ
Though I always remember it as an instrumental, there were lyrics --- see below:
When a zither starts to play
You'll remember yesterday
In its haunting strain
Vienna lives again
Free and bright and gay
In your mind a sudden gleam
Of a half forgotten dream
Seems to glimmer when you hear the third man theme
Once again there comes to mind
Someone that you left behind
Love that somehow didn't last
In that happy city of the past

Again, I put forth this tune which remained for 10 weeks at number one in 1955. It is still a hot dance tune --- Apple Pink Cherry Blossom White https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14ZVGJxYij8

This melody hit number 2 on the record charts for 1956. My dad had a copy on the 50th Anniversary RCA LP record. My dad always loved this version of Canadian Sunset. Andy Williams made a hit of it the very same year https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BJE6hwRpOc
