Are you people really that stupid?
No one has said Mormons aren't sometimes human, having weaknesses, sexual related being the most common because it's the most intimate and personal.

The anti-mormon claim however is that it's conservatives and Mormons consuming so much of the porn.
And you believe it's because we are brainwashed to stay away from sex, we thus become closet perverts, and thus view porn.

No doubt, there are likely small # who do, but more of the state is not Mormon than is Mormon, but given it's Mormon a great deal, we still have laws that restrict it, thus those who want porn, go online for it. Some Mormons might do so, but given that Mormons tend to actually live their faith, we certainly aren't what is making Utah a high online porn state, at least directly. It's all the non-mormons and ex's who want their porn fix, and online is the only place to get it.

Utah laws, most of which were created by Mormons are what makes it a high online porn state.
Other states again, you can get it easy at most corner markets.

The interview YOU cited in your OP is about INTERNET porn use and how easily accessible porn has become and the type and quantity now available thanks to the internet. Men aren't getting limp from too many Playboy mags. It's from internet porn use.

by the way, I believe that people who feel guilt and shame about their porn habit are more likely to become addicted to it, hide it, do it at work and have it disrupt their life in some manner. Christians are more likely to believe they have a porn addiction than non-Christians.

We have a friend who was a pastor for Assemblies of God. He had some computer skills so it was his job to go around to all the local pastors offices and check their computers periodically for porn. If I recall correctly, about 4 out of 5 computers had porn on them. And it typically was not vanilla porn.

Regular church-going men are only 26% less likely to claim to view porn. Men who identify as "fundamentalist" are 91% MORE likely to view porn.

About 64-68% of young adult men and about 18% of women use porn at least once every week. Another 17% of men and another 30% of women use porn 1-2 times per month.

Take Utah for example. Online is basically the ONLY place porn users can get access to porn, which let's get real, most aren't Mormon, especially active ones.

About 60% of Utah is LDS, however only about 35-40% is active and/or faithful LDS.

I would guess that about 90% of Mormons in the states vote Republican and some Libertarian.
Some of those might vote for some Democrats due to believing they follow LDS values or are LDS (some might).

Harry Reid for a long time got the Mormon vote before people knew how crazy liberal he was over the last 15 years.
I myself voted for him some 17 years ago when I was new into politics just starting to be involved, and settled with family. Of course, a year later I regreted that ignorant vote. I hadn't had enough time to vet the candidates, and at the time I didn't realize that there were actually liberal Mormons, especially in politics. I thought if they were a Democrat, they were following the more traditional Democrat policy's that were more conservative, not liberal/a.k.a. communist socialists, which used to be the fringe of society, but now are the Democrat Party.

As someone who's lived in many parts of this country..... you would be wrong.
Magazine Porn and Movies are still out there a plenty. Yes, the Internet has reduced it's consumption some, but you forget another fact.
Utah has more computers per-capita than basically any state, thus obviously they are going to be accessing porn more.

You have ZERO correlation that Mormons are the ones who are driving up the porn #'s, especially when only about 35% of the state is faithful/active LDS.
Nobody is saying Mormons aren't sometimes tempted, but I've known Mormons everywhere I've lived nearly, and very few are doing any bad thing, including porn. Most don't even have the time or privacy to do so, even if they wanted to, let alone the fact that Mormons tend to actually live their faith, thus we are going to be viewing porn FAR LESS than anyone else.

We get married if we want porn so badly..... and we get our freak on. Porn is not needed or wanted by the VAST majority.
I don't view porn..... and I'm on the internet 24/7, and have been for years.

Wow, you are either completely clueless or wilfully dishonest. You forget that most of us have been Mormon and know what real Mormons are like. I had a BIL who consumed porn on his work computer. I know that there have been bishops and stake presidents who claim their biggest problem in their ward is porn use. I know LDS men, youth and older, who admit they have accessed porn. The numbers show that the more fundamental religionists (which LDS are) have a higher porn use rate than your run of the mill church-goer.
