Hello "I have a question",
I have a question wrote:Moroni lost.

Not so. There were two different men by the name Moroni. It would appear you're confusing the Moroni in the book of Alma (who died decades before Christ), with the Moroni found elsewhere in the Book of Mormon (who died centuries after Christ).

In this thread, we've been talking about the first Moroni, otherwise known as captain Moroni. When he died, his country was still free, intact, and strongly fortified for defense. So he didn't lose.

Here, you must be thinking of the other Moroni. Even then, you are forgetting (or are perhaps not aware of) the covenant attached to the land of promise. The people of the later Moroni's time became sufficiently rebellious that they were swept off the land, as promised in the covenant. Moroni knew it was coming, and he knew God was no longer on the Nephites' side (at least not those in the Americas). The outcome had been foretold by many over the centuries, even as far back as Nephi (almost 1,000 years earlier).

You are quite welcome.

You're actually reading correctly, and your cylinders are firing just fine. (As are the cylinders of others who have attempted to point out the same thing.) In hindsight, I made too much about the Supreme Court ruling happening decades after Joseph. Thanks for the heads up.

I took a peak at the final few chapters of the story, doesn't end well for Moroni's people.
They lost.

Gods punishment for Moroni exerting unrighteousness dominion over his people. The people simply followed him into unrighteousness and so dwindled into having their ass kicked by other unrighteous people. Conscription and Mornoni's way of doing things did not lead to a sustainable, lasting, positive outcome. He lost. Think of it this way, Hitler successfully invaded Poland and conscripted his people into doing things. How'd that work out and how is Hitler now viewed?

True. Their cousins may make something of an interesting comeback yet. (Don't be too quick to assume the Nephite story is done and finished.)

I respect your right to judge him as you wish.

You may wish to sit down, I have some bad news...the Nephites became extinct.

I think he was referring to the "cousins" or Lamanites. The pipe dream story of them rising up and destroying the "Gentiles" who have made a mess of "Zion" and then building the City of New Jerusalem. More bad news, that was predicted to have been over and done by 1890 or sooner, right around when Jo predicted Christ would return to the great city they had built... But he has nowhere to go now, unless he wants to visit the COB which is the real Church Headquarters.

I love these type of discussions...who do you think would win in a fight? Captain Moroni or Captain America?

Even though Captain moroni has the demi-god Jehova on his side, I have to give this one to Captain america, Thor is full god. Oh, and im pretty sure the Hulk could handle the nephite armies alone...

That's awesome, Chap! And from the world-famous Hale Centre Theatre! I can't quite make out if the letters on the flag are Adamic, Enochian or Reformed Egyptian...
