As much as it makes me retch to agree with ldsfaqs on anything, 50 miles seems like a long way to me. I certainly wouldn't call that "at" the site of the massacre.

Sorry, but that's a huge stretch. Cedar City is 50 miles from St. George, but no one would say this is a Temple "at" St. George.

Even better, this site indicates that St. George is closer to the site than Cedar City. So the Church "erected a building at Mountain Meadows" back in 1877.
