I was trying to figure out how to say this, but Aoife did it pretty well with the term "tactless."

I know I'm in the minority since I don't do Facebook, but why is this considered acceptable behavior, to post something like this for the world to read? Isn't this between family members? Would this kid stand up at a dinner party and address his brothers this way?

"Self-serving" is right, I would just add asshole.

If so, that would be my course of action. It sends the message that you read it, you removed yourself from the conversation, and don't feel the need to comment on it.
