It does work. You just have to type "*" (without the quotation marks) at the end of every word.
It doesn't.
Search for "translated*" in "Topic titles only" by author "ludwigm" gives: You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards. I KNOW that there are seven of that status. I wrote them all.
Any search using "*" gives the same result, by the way.
Without the quotation marks, certainly...
I can sometimes get it to work with a plus symbol in front of each word, no space.

I've done that repeatedly and it doesn't work, Shades. With or without the asterisk. With or without a posters screen name.
Example: The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: development. You must specify at least one word to search for. Each word must consist of at least 3 characters and must not contain more than 14 characters excluding wildcards.

I can't get it to work with +s, *s, |s or anything, I guess all words are too common. For me, the search function has been worthless for a long time.
Shades says the * goes at the end of every word but the directions say it goes ahead of every word. After numerous words with various symbols front and back .....well....nothing works for me.

Usually right after Dr. Scratch posts his Top 10 list, something like this comes along that certainly deserves an honorable mention.

Try "sassinak" - homage to Quasimodo - (Search found 9 matches) or "Hungarian" (Search found 1447 matches) or "Martian" (Search found 243 matches).

The "site:" says limit search to specific website.
Let me translate that for everyone:
Instead of using the search feature here, go to google.com. Type the words you're searching for, then at the end type "site:mormondiscussions.com". This way, the google search will limit its results to just those found within mormondiscussions.com.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

OR.... why don't you just fix the search feature???????

Perhaps because in order to get technical stuff done, Shades has to go on his bended knees to beg and plead for a few minutes of the time of a guy who helped him set the board up, but who is very difficult to get hold of?
That might be the reason.
Zadok: I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis. Maksutov: That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
