FAIRMormon Spies on Members for Church?

I listened to the podcast interview with FAIRMormon chairperson John Lynch the other night.

I was surprised to hear him say that the LDS Church has occasionally asked FAIRMormon for internet posting information on certain unnamed persons of interest.

And that FAIRMormon happily complied with their request.

It sounds to me like FAIRMormon is at the beck and call of Church leaders to help them spy on members.

Do I have that about right?

I would think that the law of obedience would cover that and more. The Book of Mormon makes it clear that killing for god is okay, and killing for god's prophets is pretty much the same thing. A little thing like "watching over the flock" is nothing.

The last time I called you on it at MDDB, you said you really didn't care why I stopped going to church--you just hoped I would recover from it.

And that was another lie. Which I had to call you on again.

Of course the reason you kept repeating the lie even when I called you on it is because you didn't really care, but only wish me the best.

Of course FAIRMormon would happily complied with their request. As would any member. The church could ask anything of its membership and they would get it. From junior primary on members are taught it's okay to cut off a man's head if the still small voice tells you to. Compared to that ratting out your neighbor is nothing.

Even if you finally found the courage to admit LDS Inc is false, there is nothing you can do.

Your hands are tied. As much as you despise DCP, you two share the same grim future.

Religion has this type of control over the minds of their followers....not just the LDS. Look at the history of the world and what the religions of the people have caused them to do to one another. We can find inside of major world religions the same message Christ taught: "Do unto others what you would have others do unto you." However, it appears that those religions have ignored that simple message.
