Isaiah 54:1-17
Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a baby. Break into singing, shout joyously, you who never went into labor; because more are the children of the empty woman than of her who has a husband,”
says the Lord.
Increase the area of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not minimize; lengthen your ropes, strengthen your stakes.
For you will spread out both to the right and left. Your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their abandoned cities.
Do not fear; you will not be shamed. Do not fear disgrace; you will face no humiliation. You will forget the shame of youth and remember no more the reproach of widowhood.
Your Creator is your husband—the Lord Almighty is his name—the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer. He is the God of all the earth.
The Lord will call you back as though you were a wife deserted and deeply upset — a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God.
For a brief time I forsook you, but with deep compassion I will take you back.
In a wave of anger I hid my face from you momentarily, but with everlasting kindness I will take compassion on you, says the Lord your Redeemer.
This is like the days of Noah for Me. Then I swore that the waters of Noah would never cover the entire earth ever again. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you and never to rebuke you again.
Though the mountains shake and hills be removed, yet my undying love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed, says the Lord with compassion for you.
Afflicted city, lashed by storms and not comforted, I will rebuild you with stones of turquoise and foundations with lapis lazuli.
I will make your towers of rubies, your gates of sparkling jewels, and all your walls of precious stones.
All your children will be taught by the Lord, and their peace will be wondrous.
In righteousness you will be established. Tyranny will not be your way. You will fear nothing. Terror will be far removed; it will not come near you.
If anyone attacks you, it will not be my doing. Those attacking will surrender to you.
I created the blacksmith who fans the coals into flame and forges a weapon fit for its work. And it is I who have created the destroyer to bring havoc.
No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every accusations against you. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and this affirmation come from the Lord.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 Sing, O barren, she hath not borne! Break forth with singing, and cry aloud, She hath not brought forth! For more [are] the sons of the desolate, Than the sons of the married one, said Jehovah.
2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, And the curtains of thy tabernacles they stretch out, Restrain not -- lengthen thy cords, And thy pins make strong.
3 For right and left thou breakest forth, And thy seed doth nations possess,
4 And desolate cities they cause to be inhabited. Fear not, for thou art not ashamed, Nor blush, for thou art not confounded, For the shame of thy youth thou forgettest, And the reproach of thy widowhood Thou dost not remember any more.
5 For thy Maker [is] thy husband, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His name, And thy Redeemer [is] the Holy One of Israel, `God of all the earth,' He is called.
6 For, as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, Called thee hath Jehovah, Even a youthful wife when she is refused, said thy God.
7 In a small moment I have forsaken thee, And in great mercies I do gather thee,
8 In overflowing wrath I hid my face [for] a moment from thee, And in kindness age-during I have loved thee, Said thy Redeemer -- Jehovah!
9 For, the waters of Noah [is] this to Me, In that I have sworn -- the waters of Noah Do not pass again over the earth -- So I have sworn, Wrath is not upon thee, Nor rebuke against thee.
10 For the mountains depart, and the hills remove, And My kindness from thee departeth not, And the covenant of My peace removeth not, Said hath thy loving one -- Jehovah.
11 O afflicted, storm-tossed, not comforted, Lo, I am laying with cement thy stones, And have founded thee with sapphires,
12 And have made of agate thy pinnacles, And thy gates of carbuncle stones, And all thy border of stones of delight,
13 And all thy sons are taught of Jehovah, And abundant [is] the peace of thy sons.
14 In righteousness thou establishest thyself, Be far from oppression, for thou fearest not, And from ruin, for it cometh not near unto thee.
15 Lo, he doth diligently assemble without My desire, Who hath assembled near thee? By thee he falleth!
16 Lo, I -- I have prepared an artizan, Blowing on a fire of coals, And bringing out an instrument for his work, And I have prepared a destroyer to destroy.
17 No weapon formed against thee prospereth, And every tongue rising against thee, In judgment thou condemnest. This [is] the inheritance of the servants of Jehovah, And their righteousness from me, an affirmation of Jehovah!

Isaiah 55:1-13
If you thirst, come and drink water! If you lack money, come, eat what you will! Drink wine and milk for free.
Why waste your money on what isn’t food? Why work hard for things unsatisfying? Listen carefully to me, and you will enjoy the very best nourishment.
Pay strict attention! Come to me and live. I promise you the eternal love and loyalty that I promised to David.
I made him leader and ruler over nations. He was My witness to them.
You broadcast to nations you never heard of. And they have never known you, but they will come quickly because I am the Lord --- holy God of Israel. I have honored you!
Turn to the Lord God! He can still be found and is close by!
Give up your twisted behavior and evil thoughts. Return to the Lord God. He is merciful and forgiving of sins.
The Lord says, My thoughts and ways are not anything like yours.
Just as the heavens are above the earth, My thoughts and ways are far more astounding than yours.
Rain and snow drop from the sky. But they don’t evaporate without moistening the ground that encourages seeds for planting and grain for eating
That’s how it is with My Words. They never return to me without doing everything I send them to do.
When you are freed, you will celebrate and travel home peacefully. Mountains and hills will sing as you travel by, and field trees will clap.
Cypress and myrtle trees will grow in fields once the haven of thorns. And such trees will tower as a lasting witness to the glory of the Lord.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 Ho, every thirsty one, come ye to the waters, And he who hath no money, Come ye, buy and eat, yea, come, buy Without money and without price, wine and milk.
2 Why do ye weigh money for that which is not bread? And your labour for that which is not for satiety? Hearken diligently unto me, and eat good, And your soul doth delight itself in fatness.
3 Incline your ear, and come unto me, Hear, and your soul doth live, And I make for you a covenant age-during, The kind acts of David -- that are stedfast.
4 Lo, a witness to peoples I have given him, A leader and commander to peoples.
5 Lo, a nation thou knowest not, thou callest, And a nation who know thee not unto thee do run, For the sake of Jehovah thy God, And for the Holy One of Israel, Because He hath beautified thee.
6 Seek ye Jehovah, while He is found, Call ye Him, while He is near,
7 Forsake doth the wicked his way, And the man of iniquity his thoughts, And he returneth to Jehovah, and He pitieth him, And unto our God for He multiplieth to pardon.
8 For not My thoughts [are] your thoughts, Nor your ways My ways, -- an affirmation of Jehovah,
9 For high have the heavens been above the earth, So high have been My ways above your ways, And My thoughts above your thoughts.
10 For, as come down doth the shower, And the snow from the heavens, And thither returneth not, But hath watered the earth, And hath caused it to yield, and to spring up, And hath given seed to the sower, and bread to the eater,
11 So is My word that goeth out of My mouth, It turneth not back unto Me empty, But hath done that which I desired, And prosperously effected that [for] which I sent it.
12 For with joy ye go forth, And with peace ye are brought in, The mountains and the hills Break forth before you [with] singing, And all trees of the field clap the hand.
13 Instead of the thorn come up doth fir, Instead of the brier come up doth myrtle, And it hath been to Jehovah for a name, For a sign age-during -- it is not cut off!
If you thirst, come and drink water! If you lack money, come, eat what you will! Drink wine and milk for free.

Isaiah 56:1-12
The Lord says to be observant of justice, doing what is right, for His salvation is coming shortly. His righteousness is about to being revealed.
The happiness of man who does this, And of that son of man who is committed to, keeping the Sabbath without desecration, and his hand from committing evil.
A foreigner joining with the Lord should not say that the Lord will segregate him from His people. The eunuch inasmuch should not say that he is now dead and unworthy of consideration..
The Lord says for the eunuchs who keep His Sabbaths, choosing what pleases God, and hanging onto His covenant:
in His house, within His walls, He will provide them such with power and a name greater than sons and daughters. He will give him an eternal name without end.
And foreigners who join themselves to Lord to serve, love the name of the Lord, and to be his workers ---- all keeping the Sabbath without desecrating it, and cling to My covenant,
God will bring them to His holy mountain, making them joyful in His house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and sacrifices will be accepted on His altar; for the Lord's house will be called a house of prayer for all peoples.”
The Lord God says He is gathering Israel’s exiles. There are yet others He will gather, besides those gathered already.
All you wild animals in the forest come and eat!
Israel's watchmen are, all blind. They know nothing. They are stupid dogs, unable to bark, lying there dreaming, loving sleep.
Greedy dogs, never satisfied — such are shepherds, without understanding. They all turn to their pathway --- each one manipulated by His own greed.
They imagine: "I’ll get some wine. We'll get good and drunk! Tomorrow will be like today. In fact, it will be fulfilling!"
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 Thus said Jehovah: `Keep ye judgment, and do righteousness, For near [is] My salvation to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.'
2 O the happiness of a man who doth this, And of a son of man who keepeth hold on it, Keeping the sabbath from polluting it, And keeping his hand from doing any evil.
3 Nor speak let a son of the stranger, Who is joined unto Jehovah, saying: `Jehovah doth certainly separate me from His people.' Nor say let the eunuch, `Lo, I am a tree dried up,'
4 For thus said Jehovah of the eunuchs, Who do keep My sabbaths, And have fixed on that which I desired, And are keeping hold on My covenant:
5 I have given to them in My house, And within My walls a station and a name, Better than sons and than daughters, A name age-during I give to him That is not cut off.
6 And sons of the stranger, who are joined to Jehovah, To serve Him, and to love the name of Jehovah, To be to Him for servants, Every keeper of the sabbath from polluting it, And those keeping hold on My covenant.
7 I have brought them unto My holy mountain, And caused them to rejoice in My house of prayer, Their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices [Are] for a pleasing thing on Mine altar, For My house, `A house of prayer,' Is called for all the peoples.
8 An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Who is gathering the outcasts of Israel: `Again I gather to him -- to his gathered ones.'
9 Every beast of the field, Come to devour, every beast in the forest.
10 Blind [are] his watchmen -- all of them, They have not known, All of them [are] dumb dogs, they are not able to bark, Dozing, lying down, loving to slumber.
11 And the dogs [are] strong of desire, They have not known sufficiency, And they [are] shepherds! They have not known understanding, All of them to their own way they did turn, Each to his dishonest gain from his quarter:
12 `Come ye, I take wine, And we drink, quaff strong drink, And as this day hath been to-morrow, Great -- exceeding abundant!'

Re: Bible verse by verse
Isaiah 57:1-21
The righteous die, and nobody considers it. Godly men die, and no one realizes that the righteous person is taken away from more evil on the way.
Yes, those who are righteous will have peace as they relax.
But you, you witches’ children, come here. Even you commit adultery!
Whom are you joking about? At whom are you laughing and sticking out your tongue? You are rebellious children ---- a brood of liars?
You make-out among the oak trees, under every spreading tree. You murder the babies in the valleys among the cracks in the rocks.
Your place is among the worn stones of streams. This is what you deserve. You pour out drink offerings to them, you offer grain offerings to them. Should I calmly ignore these things?
You establish your bed on a high, lofty mountain; you went up there to offer sacrifices.
Behind closed doors inside you set up a lewd memorial. Far from Me, you uncovered your mattress, climbed upon it, making an agreement with some of them, whose bed you enjoy when you are beckoned.
You went to the king with scented oil and perfumes --- sending your envoys far away, acting like hell itself.
Though worn out by so much travel, you didn't say, ‘All hope is gone’. Rather, finding your strength renewed, you did not grow weak.
Of whom have you been frightened, so fearful that you lied? But Me you have forgotten! You don’t give Me a thought! I have held My peace for so long that you no longer regard Me.
I will expose your supposed ‘righteousness’; and what you have done has no value.
When you cry, will those idols you collected protect you? The wind will carry them all away, a puff of air will take them off. But whoever takes refuge in me will possess the land and inherit my holy mountain.”
Then He will say, “Build! Keep building! Clear the way! Remove everything blocking My people’s path!”
For thus says the High, Exalted One who exists eternally, whose name is Holy: “I live in the high and holy place but also among the broken and humble, in order to revive the spirit of the humble and the hearts of broken individuals."
I will not fight them forever or always tend my anger; otherwise, their spirits would faint before me --- these reatures of My own creation.
It was because of their conspicuous greed that I was angry and struck them; I hid myself and was angry, but they continued along their rebellious way.
I have observed their motivation, and I will heal them; I will lead them and bring comfort to them and to those who are sorry for them...
I create the right words for those far off and nearby!’ says God. "Peace, I will heal them!’”
But the wicked are like the restless sea —unable to remain placid, its waters churn up mud and dirt.
There is absolutely no peace for the wicked, says God.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 The righteous hath perished, And there is none laying [it] to heart, And men of kindness are gathered, Without any considering that from the face of evil Gathered is the righteous one.
2 He entereth into peace, they rest on their beds, [Each] is going straightforward.
3 And ye, come near hither, O sons of a sorceress, seed of an adulterer, Even thou dost commit whoredom.
4 Against whom do ye sport yourselves? Against whom enlarge ye the mouth? Prolong ye the tongue? Are not ye children of transgression? a false seed?
5 Who are inflamed among oaks, under every green tree, Slaughtering the children in valleys, Under clefts of the rocks.
6 Among the smooth things of a brook [is] thy portion, They -- they [are] thy lot, Also to them thou hast poured out an oblation, Thou hast caused a present to ascend, For these things am I comforted?
7 On a mountain, high and exalted, Thou hast set thy couch, Also thither thou hast gone up to make a sacrifice.
8 And behind the door, and the post, Thou hast set up thy memorial, For from Me thou hast removed, and goest up, Thou hast enlarged thy couch, And dost covenant for thyself among them, Thou hast loved their couch, the station thou sawest,
9 And goest joyfully to the king in ointment, And dost multiply thy perfumes, And sendest thine ambassadors afar off, And humblest thyself unto Sheol.
10 In the greatness of thy way thou hast laboured, Thou hast not said, `It is desperate.' The life of thy hand thou hast found, Therefore thou hast not been sick.
11 And of whom hast thou been afraid, and fearest, That thou liest, and Me hast not remembered? Thou hast not laid [it] to thy heart, Am not I silent, even from of old? And Me thou fearest not?
12 I declare thy righteousness, and thy works, And they do not profit thee.
13 When thou criest, let thy gatherings deliver thee, And all of them carry away doth wind, Take away doth vanity, And whoso is trusting in Me inheriteth the land, And doth possess My holy mountain.
14 And he hath said, `Raise up, raise up, prepare a way, Lift a stumbling-block out of the way of My people.'
15 For thus said the high and exalted One, Inhabiting eternity, and holy [is] His name: `In the high and holy place I dwell, And with the bruised and humble of spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of bruised ones,'
16 For, not to the age do I strive, nor for ever am I wroth, For the spirit from before Me is feeble, And the souls I have made.
17 For the iniquity of his dishonest gain, I have been wroth, and I smite him, Hiding -- and am wroth, And he goeth on turning back in the way of his heart.
18 His ways I have seen, and I heal him, yea, I lead him, And recompense comforts to him and to his mourning ones.
19 Producing the fruit of the lips, `Peace, peace,' to the far off, and to the near, And I have healed him, said Jehovah.
20 And the wicked [are] as the driven out sea, For to rest it is not able, And its waters cast out filth and mire.
21 There is no peace, said my God, to the wicked!
The righteous die, and nobody considers it. Godly men die, and no one realizes that the righteous person is taken away from more evil on the way.
Yes, those who are righteous will have peace as they relax.
But you, you witches’ children, come here. Even you commit adultery!

Re: Bible verse by verse
Isaiah 58:1-14
The Lord says to shout out loud like a trumpet. Tell my people of their transgression.
They still seek Me daily and enjoy learning My ways. They act just like a nation that behaves righteously. They ask Me for righteous judgment and love to hang around God.
They say that to honor the Lord they have special feast days but God doesn't seem to notice.
However, the Lord says, “Look here; You do what satisfies you on fast days, and you exploit your workers.
Even when fasting, you argue and fight --- punching each other. You cannot behave as this and expect your prayers to be accepted.
This kind of special day is not what I expect. This is not the way I want people to express sorrow for what they have done. I don’t want people just to bow their heads like a reed, wear crude cloth and lie in ashes to show sadness. Do you actually think this pleases the Lord?
I explain the kind of fast I want: Free the people you have put in prison unfairly and remove their chains. Free the oppressed and end their hard labor.
Share your meals with the hungry and bring poor, homeless people into your own homes. When you notice someone who has no clothes, clothe him --- don’t refuse to assist your own relatives.
Then your lamp will shine like the dawn, and your wounds will quickly heal. God will clear your way, and His glory will cover your rear.
Then you will call out, and the Lord will answer. If you stop making trouble for others, stop using cruel words and pointing your finger at others, feed the hungry and take care of the needs of those who are afflicted, then your light will shine through the darkness, and you will be like sunshine at high noon.
The Lord will always lead you. He will satisfy your needs in waste lands and provide strength to your bones. You will be like a well watered garden, a dependable spring.
Your people will rebuild the old cities that are now ruins. You will be known for repairing broken walls and the restorer of roads and houses.
You must obey God’s law concerning avoiding Sabbath trips and doing whatever you wish on that holy day. You should call the Sabbath delightful and honor it as the Lord’s holy day.
Then you will find joy in the Lord, and I will carry you over the earth. I will let you eat the crops of the land feed you with the inheritance of your ancestor Jacob.” This came from the Lord.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 Call with the throat, restrain not, As a trumpet lift up thy voice, And declare to My people their transgression, And to the house of Jacob their sins;
2 Seeing -- Me day by day they seek, And the knowledge of My ways they desire, As a nation that righteousness hath done, And the judgment of its God hath not forsaken, They ask of me judgments of righteousness, The drawing near of God they desire:
3 `Why have we fasted, and Thou hast not seen? We have afflicted our soul, and Thou knowest not.' Lo, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, And all your labours ye exact.
4 Lo, for strife and debate ye fast, And to smite with the fist of wickedness, Ye fast not as [to]-day, To sound in the high place your voice.
5 Like this is the fast that I choose? The day of a man's afflicting his soul? To bow as a reed his head, And sackcloth and ashes spread out? This dost thou call a fast, And a desirable day -- to Jehovah?
6 Is not this the fast that I chose -- To loose the bands of wickedness, To shake off the burdens of the yoke, And to send out the oppressed free, And every yoke ye draw off?
7 Is it not to deal to the hungry thy bread, And the mourning poor bring home, That thou seest the naked and cover him, And from thine own flesh hide not thyself?
8 Then broken up as the dawn is thy light, And thy health in haste springeth up, Gone before thee hath thy righteousness, The honour of Jehovah doth gather thee.
9 Then thou callest, and Jehovah answereth, Thou criest, and He saith, `Behold Me.' If thou turn aside from thy midst the yoke, The sending forth of the finger, And the speaking of vanity,
10 And dost bring out to the hungry thy soul, And the afflicted soul dost satisfy, Then risen in the darkness hath thy light, And thy thick darkness [is] as noon.
11 And Jehovah doth lead thee continually, And hath satisfied in drought thy soul, And thy bones He armeth, And thou hast been as a watered garden, And as an outlet of waters, whose waters lie not.
12 And they have built out of thee the wastes of old, The foundations of many generations thou raisest up, And one calleth thee, `Repairer of the breach, Restorer of paths to rest in.'
13 If thou dost turn from the sabbath thy foot, Doing thine own pleasure on My holy day, And hast cried to the sabbath, `A delight,' To the holy of Jehovah, `Honoured,' And hast honoured it, without doing thine own ways, Without finding thine own pleasure, And speaking a word.
14 Then dost thou delight thyself on Jehovah, And I have caused thee to ride on high places of earth, And have caused thee to eat the inheritance of Jacob thy father, For the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken!

Isaiah 59:1-21
Isaiah 59:1-21
See here! The Lord does not lack the ability to save, nor is He deaf.
However, your evil actions have segregated you from God. Your sins have removed His presence from you so that you aren’t heard.
Your hands are stained in blood, your fingers guilt. Your lips spread lies; your tongues spew malice.
None sues honestly or pleads truthfully. By trusting in futility and spreading deceit, they conceive harm and give birth to malice.
They hatch viper's eggs, and weave spider webs. Whoever eats such eggs die. Additionally, the crushed egg hatches a viper.
Their webs can’t serve as clothing; they can’t cover themselves with their deeds. Their deeds are works of spite, and violence is in their hands.
Their feet run to evil in a hurry to shed innocent blood. Their thoughts are thoughts of malice. Desolation and destruction litter their highways.
They don’t understand peace. There’s no justice in their pursuits. They design convoluted roads. None traveling along them finds peace.
Because of all this, justice is at a distance, and righteousness beyond our reach. We expect light, and there is only darkness. We await a beam of light, but walk about in gloom.
We grope along the wall like the blind without eyes. We stumble at midday as if it were twilight, and among the strong as if we were dying.
All of us growl like bears, and like doves we moan. We expect justice, but there is none; we await salvation, but is out of our reach.
Our rebellions are numerous in Your presence. Our sins testify against us. Our rebellions are obvious. We’re aware of our guilt:
We defying and denying the Lord, turn away from our God, plan oppression and revolt, murmuring lying words conceived in our minds.
Justice is shoved aside; righteousness stands aloof, because truth has stumbled in the public arena, and honesty is forbidden entrance.
Truth is abandoned. Anyone turning from evil is humiliated.
The Lord observed and was upset at the absence of justice.
Seeing that there was none, and astonished that no one would intervene, God’s power brought victory, supported by righteousness, putting on righteousness as armor, garments of vengeance, a helmet of salvation for His head, and wrapping Himself in a cape of zeal.
God will repay according to their behavior: outrage to his foes, punishment to enemies and to the coastlands.
Westerners will regard the Lord’s name, and Easterners will regard God’s glory. It will come like a cascade that the Lord’s spirit drives on.
A redeemer will arrive at Jerusalem and to those of Jacob who stop rebelling, says the Lord.
As for My part, this is My covenant with them, says the Lord. My spirit, which is upon you, and my words, which I have placed in your mouth won’t depart, nor from the mouths of your descendants,
nor from the mouths of your descendants’ children --- eternally proclaims the Lord.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 Lo, the hand of Jehovah Hath not been shortened from saving, Nor heavy his ear from hearing.
2 But your iniquities have been separating Between you and your God, And your sins have hidden The Presence from you -- from hearing.
3 For your hands have been polluted with blood, And your fingers with iniquity, Your lips have spoken falsehood, Your tongue perverseness doth mutter.
4 There is none calling in righteousness, And there is none pleading in faithfulness, Trusting on emptiness, and speaking falsehood, Conceiving perverseness, and bearing iniquity.
5 Eggs of a viper they have hatched, And webs of a spider they weave, Whoso is eating their eggs doth die, And the crushed hatcheth a viper.
6 Their webs become not a garment, Nor do they cover themselves with their works, Their works [are] works of iniquity, And a deed of violence [is] in their hands.
7 Their feet to evil do run, And they haste to shed innocent blood, Their thoughts [are] thoughts of iniquity, Spoiling and destruction [are] in their highways.
8 A way of peace they have not known, And there is no judgment in their paths, Their paths they have made perverse for themselves, No treader in it hath known peace.
9 Therefore hath judgment been far from us, And righteousness reacheth us not, We wait for light, and lo, darkness, For brightness -- in thick darkness we go,
10 We feel like the blind [for] the wall, Yea, as without eyes we feel, We have stumbled at noon as at twilight, In desolate places as the dead.
11 We make a noise as bears -- all of us, And as doves we coo sorely; We wait for judgment, and there is none, For salvation -- it hath been far from us.
12 For our transgressions have been multiplied before Thee, And our sins have testified against us, For our transgressions [are] with us, And our iniquities -- we have known them.
13 Transgressing, and lying against Jehovah, And removing from after our God, Speaking oppression and apostacy, Conceiving and uttering from the heart Words of falsehood.
14 And removed backward is judgment, And righteousness afar off standeth, For truth hath been feeble in the street, And straightforwardness is not able to enter,
15 And the truth is lacking, And whoso is turning aside from evil, Is making himself a spoil. And Jehovah seeth, and it is evil in His eyes, That there is no judgment.
16 And He seeth that there is no man, And is astonished that there is no intercessor, And His own arm giveth salvation to Him, And His righteousness -- it sustained Him.
17 And He putteth on righteousness as a breastplate, And an helmet of salvation on His head, And He putteth on garments of vengeance [for] clothing, And is covered, as [with] an upper-robe, [with] zeal.
18 According to deeds -- so He repayeth. Fury to His adversaries, [their] deed to His enemies, To the isles [their] deed He repayeth.
19 And they fear from the west the name of Jehovah, And from the rising of the sun -- His honour, When come in as a flood doth an adversary, The Spirit of Jehovah hath raised an ensign against him.
20 And come to Zion hath a redeemer, Even to captives of transgression in Jacob, An affirmation of Jehovah.
21 And I -- this [is] My covenant with them, said Jehovah, My Spirit that [is] on thee, And My words that I have put in thy mouth, Depart not from thy mouth, And from the mouth of thy seed, And from the mouth of thy seed's seed, said Jehovah, From henceforth unto the age!

Re: Bible verse by verse
Isaiah 60:1-22
Rise and shine, for your light is here, the glory of Jehovah has risen above you.
For though darkness enshrouds the earth and heavy gloom the nations; upon you Jehovah will rise, and on you will be observed His glory.
Nations will gravitate toward your light --- kings toward your shining splendor.
Raise your eyes and look about. They are all gathering and coming to you. Your sons are arriving from a distance --- your daughters being helped along...
Then you will glimpse and glow. your heart will throb and grow with delight. The wealth of the seas and wealth of nations will come to you.
Caravans of camels will cover your land, young camels from Midian and ‘Ephah, arriving from Sheba, bringing gold and frankincense, and proclaiming the praises of Jehovah.
All the flocks of Kedar will be collected for you. The rams of Nebaioth will be at your service. They will come up and be received on my altar, as I glorify my glorious house.
Who are these, flying as thick as clouds, like doves to their roost?
The islands are putting their hope in me, with the ‘Tarshish’ ships leading, to carry your children from great distances, with them their silver and gold, for Jehovah's sake, the Holy One of Israel, glorifies you.
Foreigners will rebuild your walls> Their rulers will be at your beck and call ----for in My anger I traumatized you, but with My mercy I pity you.
Your gates will always remain open day and night. This is so that the wealth of nations can be brought to you, with their rulers leading in procession.
The nation or kingdom that won’t serve you will perish. Absolutely, such nations will be utterly destroyed.
The glory of the Lebanon will come to you, cypresses together with elm trees and larches, to beautify the site of My sanctuary — I will glorify the place where I stand.
The children of your oppressors will come and bow low before you. All who hated you will grovel at your feet --- naming you the city of Jehovah, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
Once you were abandoned and hated, so that no one would even travel through you. However, now I will make you the delight of the ages, a joy for many generations.
You will receive the correct knowledge of nations, you will nurse at royal breasts and know that I, Jehovah, am your Savior, Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
For bronze I will bring you gold. For iron -- silver. For wood --- bronze. For stones --- iron. I will make peace your governor and righteousness your taskmaster.
Violence will no longer be heard in your land. No desolation or destruction within your borders ----------- rather, you will call your bulwark Salvation and your gates Praise.
No more will the sun brighten day, nor will moonlight shine on you. Instead, Jehovah will be your light forever more and God your glory.
No longer will your sun set nor your moon wane. Jehovah will be your eternal light. You will mourn no more.
All your people will be righteous. They will inherit the land forever. They will be the branch I planted, my handiwork, in which I take pride.
The tiniest will enlarge to 1000. The weakest will become a mighty nation. I, Jehovah at the perfect time will quickly bring this about.”
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 Arise, be bright, for come hath thy light, And the honour of Jehovah hath risen on thee.
2 For, lo, the darkness doth cover the earth, And thick darkness the peoples, And on thee rise doth Jehovah, And His honour on thee is seen.
3 And come have nations to thy light, And kings to the brightness of thy rising.
4 Lift up round about thine eyes and see, All of them have been gathered, they have come to thee, Thy sons from afar do come, And thy daughters on the side are supported.
5 Then thou seest, and hast become bright, And thine heart hath been afraid and enlarged, For turn unto thee doth the multitude of the sea, The forces of nations do come to thee.
6 A company of camels covereth thee, Dromedaries of Midian and Ephah, All of them from Sheba do come, Gold and frankincense they bear, And of the praises of Jehovah they proclaim the tidings.
7 All the flock of Kedar are gathered to thee, The rams of Nebaioth do serve thee, They ascend for acceptance Mine altar, And the house of My beauty I beautify.
8 Who [are] these -- as a thick cloud they fly, And as doves unto their windows?
9 Surely for Me isles do wait, And ships of Tarshish first, To bring thy sons from afar, Their silver and their gold with them, To the name of Jehovah thy God, And to the Holy One of Israel, Because He hath beautified thee.
10 And sons of a stranger have built thy walls, And their kings do serve thee, For in My wrath I have smitten thee, And in My good pleasure I have pitied thee.
11 And opened have thy gates continually, By day and by night they are not shut, To bring unto thee the force of nations, Even their kings are led.
12 For the nation and the kingdom that do not serve thee perish, Yea, the nations are utterly wasted.
13 The honour of Lebanon unto thee doth come, Fir, pine, and box together, To beautify the place of My sanctuary, And the place of My feet I make honourable.
14 And come unto thee, bowing down, Have sons of those afflicting thee, And bowed themselves to the soles of thy feet Have all despising thee, And they have cried to thee: `City of Jehovah, Zion of the Holy One of Israel.'
15 Instead of thy being forsaken and hated, And none passing through, I have made thee for an excellency age-during, A joy of generation and generation.
16 And thou hast sucked the milk of nations, Yea, the breast of kings thou suckest, And thou hast known that I, Jehovah, Thy Saviour, and Thy Redeemer, [Am] the Mighty One of Jacob.
17 Instead of the brass I bring in gold, And instead of the iron I bring in silver, And instead of the wood brass, And instead of the stone iron, And I have made thy inspection peace, And thy exactors righteousness.
18 Violence is not heard any more in thy land, Spoiling and destruction in thy borders, And thou hast called `Salvation' thy walls, And thy gates, `Praise.'
19 To thee no more is the sun for a light by day, And for brightness the moon giveth not light to thee, And Jehovah hath become to thee A light age-during, and thy God thy beauty.
20 Thy sun goeth no more in, And thy moon is not removed, For Jehovah becometh to thee a light age-during. And the days of thy mourning have been completed.
21 And thy people [are] all of them righteous, To the age they possess the earth, A branch of My planting, A work of My hands, to be beautified.
22 The little one doth become a chief, And the small one a mighty nation, I, Jehovah, in its own time do hasten it!

Isaiah 61:1-11
The Spirit of the Lord God has grabbed me. The Lord has selected me to spread good news to the poor and to comfort those who are unsatisfied. He sent me to tell the captives and prisoners that they have been freed.
He directed me to proclaim that the time has come for the Lord to demonstrate His kindness, when our God will also punish evil people. He has sent me to comfort those who are sad,
those in mourning in Jerusalem. I will alleviate ashes from off their head, and place on them a diadem. I will take away their sadness, and I will give them ointment of happiness. I will take away their sorrow, and I will give them beautiful party clothes. He sent me to call them ‘Good Trees’ and ‘The Lord’s Wonderful Plant.’
Finally the old cities that were ruined will be rebuilt. Those ancient ruins will be resplendent, as they were originally.
Then your enemies will come to shepherd your sheep, and their children will labor in your fields and gardens.
You will be called, ‘The Lord’s Priests,’ ‘The Servants of our God.’ You will be proud of all the riches that have come to you from all the nations on earth.
In the past, other people disparaged and slurred you. You were humiliated much more than any other nationality. So in your land you will receive two times more than anyone else. You will get the joy that lasts forever.
It's because I am the Lord and love justice. I hate stealing and everything that's wrong. So I will hand the people what they deserve. I will make an eternal agreement with my chosen.
Their descendants will be renown, and everyone will recognize their children. Whoever observes them will realize that the Lord has blessed them.
The Lord makes me ecstatic. I am completely satisfied in my God. He covers me in salvation. He put the victory cloak on me. I look like a man dressed for his wedding ---- a bride bedecked with jewels.
The earth causes plants to sprout, and a garden makes the seeds planted there rise up. In the same way, the Lord God will bring about goodness and praise throughout the nations.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah [is] on me, Because Jehovah did anoint me To proclaim tidings to the humble, He sent me to bind the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives liberty, And to bound ones an opening of bands.
2 To proclaim the year of the good pleasure of Jehovah, And the day of vengeance of our God, To comfort all mourners.
3 To appoint to mourners in Zion, To give to them beauty instead of ashes, The oil of joy instead of mourning, A covering of praise for a spirit of weakness, And He is calling to them, `Trees of righteousness, The planting of Jehovah -- to be beautified.'
4 And they have built the wastes of old, The desolations of the ancients they raise up, And they have renewed waste cities, The desolations of generation and generation.
5 And strangers have stood and fed your flock, Sons of a foreigner [are] your husbandmen, And your vine-dressers.
6 And ye are called `Priests of Jehovah,' `Ministers of our God,' is said of you, The strength of nations ye consume, And in their honour ye do boast yourselves.
7 Instead of your shame and confusion, A second time they sing of their portion, Therefore in their land A second time do they take possession, Joy age-during [is] for them.
8 For I [am] Jehovah, loving judgment, Hating plunder for a burnt-offering, And I have given their wage in truth, And a covenant age-during I make for them.
9 And known among nations hath been their seed, And their offspring in the midst of the peoples, All their beholders acknowledge them, For they [are] a seed Jehovah hath blessed.
10 I greatly rejoice in Jehovah, Joy doth my soul in my God, For He clothed me with garments of salvation, With a robe of righteousness covereth Me, As a bridegroom prepareth ornaments, And as a bride putteth on her jewels.
11 For, as the earth bringeth forth her shoots, And as a garden causeth its sown things to shoot up, So the Lord Jehovah causeth righteousness and praise To shoot up before all the nations!

Isaiah 62:1-12
For Zion’s sake I will not be quiet, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not sleep, until her justification gleams like day break, and her salvation like a flaming torch.
The nations will observe your justification and all the rulers your glory; and you shall be called by a new name the Lord will bestow.
You shall be a crown of beauty in the Lord's hand and a royal diadem in the hand of your God.
You shall no more be called Forsaken, and your land shall no more be called desolate; but you shall be called My enjoyment Is in Her, and your land Married; for the Lord delights in you, and your land shall be married.
For as a young man marries a young woman, so shall your creator marry you, and as the bridegroom rejoices concerning the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you.
Upon your walls, O Jerusalem, I have stationed guards; day and night ---- they shall never remain quiet. You who remind the Lord, do not rest,
and give Him no rest until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it famous across the earth.
The Lord has sworn through His right hand and through his mighty arm: I will never again supply your grain to be food for your enemies, and foreigners shall not drink the wine which you concocted.
However, those who gather it shall eat it and thank the Lord, and those who gather it shall drink it in My holy courts.
Go through the gates, clear the way for the people; reconstruct the highway, clearing it of stones. Lift up a pennant over the nations.
The Lord has proclaimed across the earth: Say to daughter Zion, “See, your salvation comes; His reward is with Him, and His compensation is before him.”
They shall be called, “The Holy People, The Redeemed of the Lord”; and you shall be called, “Sought for, A City Not Forsaken.”
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 For Zion's sake I am not silent, And for Jerusalem's sake I do not rest, Till her righteousness go out as brightness, And her salvation, as a torch that burneth.
2 And nations have seen thy righteousness, And all kings thine honour, And He is giving to thee a new name, That the mouth of Jehovah doth define.
3 And thou hast been a crown of beauty in the hand of Jehovah, And a diadem of royalty in the hand of thy God,
4 It is not said of thee any more, `Forsaken!' And of thy land it is not said any more, `Desolate,' For to thee is cried, `My delight [is] in her,' And to thy land, `Married,' For Jehovah hath delighted in thee, And thy land is married.
5 For a young man doth marry a virgin, Thy Builders do marry thee, With the joy of a bridegroom over a bride, Rejoice over thee doth thy God.
6 `On thy walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen, All the day, and all the night, Continually, they are not silent.' O ye remembrancers of Jehovah, Keep not silence for yourselves,
7 And give not silence to Him, Till He establish, and till He make Jerusalem A praise in the earth.
8 Sworn hath Jehovah by His right hand, Even by the arm of His strength: `I give not thy corn any more [as] food for thine enemies, Nor do sons of a stranger drink thy new wine, For which thou hast laboured.
9 For, those gathering it do eat it, and have praised Jehovah, And those collecting it do drink it in My holy courts.'
10 Pass ye on, pass on through the gates, Prepare ye the way of the people, Raise up, raise up the highway, clear it from stones, Lift up an ensign over the peoples.
11 Lo, Jehovah hath proclaimed unto the end of the earth: `Say ye to the daughter of Zion, Lo, thy salvation hath come,' Lo, his hire [is] with him, and his wage before him.
12 And they have cried to them, `People of the Holy One, Redeemed of Jehovah,' Yea, to thee is called, `Sought out one, a city not forsaken!'

Just read the Lectures of Faith by Joseph Smith Jr - it will expound your understanding; but of course if you don't want to know then you never will.
