And getting to the core of the issue here which is the alleged sexual abuse of a minor - what the hell. The kid isn't to talk about it. Where the hell is the support for the daughter. Do you really think any of the professionals handled this well?

RI,

As you have time and only if you're willing, would you briefly state why Ron's story doesn't pass the smell test for you?

Don't write a book.

(There are 380+ posts on this thread. I've only gotten to page 8 in my reading and at the same time there is a continuous buildup of new posts. Shoveling snow while it's blizzarding. Can you just spell it out for me? Is it the lack of documentation?)

Mary wrote:Good grief RI is that your professional opinion.

Are you even listening fo Ron and the kids? The wife drops the daughter off with bags. Arrangements are made to move K out at Jean's request. Dad needs to get bigger House. Jean then changes her mind and attempts to put him in contempt of court via the lawyer. Come on. Please.

Why not start to believe or even take seriously Ron and all three of his kids? They experienced this.

Changing one's mind is not suborning of perjury. What Ron ignores is that the court order in place at the time said that the daughter would be with Jean.

Ron has emphatically claimed over and over that the lawyer suborned perjury. I looked the materials he gave us. It's not true. Just like it's not true that the divorce was out of the blue. Just like its not true that Jean "beat McKay, leaving him bloodied and bruised" even though that's how Ron describes it over and over and over again. Ron is not a reliable witness in this matter, and it's crystal clear that he's repeated his version of the story to McKay so many times that McKay's language and phrasing mimics his father's.

How many lines do I get? :-)

Please, I am exhausting myself trying to catch up with this thread and process what I am reading. Can you tell me where you observed the above?

I haven't seen it or I've missed it somehow.

As many as you need. I've read up to page 8. I see that you've been a participant throughout and believe me, I know I'm asking for the moon here. But I'm asking anyway.

No rush. I'll be back tomorrow at some point.

ETA: For example, as in my above post. You made several "not true" claims. Did those all come out of the same blog post or what?

Again, if you don't feel like directing me, it's okay. I'll just continue to plow through the posts and suffer in silence.

Mary wrote:You seem to have uttedly demonized Ron to a strange degree, whilst seeing Jean as some kind of victimized Saint? What do you know that I don't?

There were 2 imperfect, fiery people in the marriage, not one.

Where have I demonized Ron? Where have I said Jean was a Saint? I've never claimed Jean was perfect. In fact, I've been critical of her.

Narcissists don't choose to be the way they are. They simply aren't able to perceive and understand the impact of their actions on those around them. They can't see themselves as other's perceive them. Drop them into an LDS marriage where the husband has authority from God and the son had more power than his mother, and the result isn't hard to understand.

I don't try to divide folks into saints and sinners. I just do my best to try and understand what's going on.

Well, you have to read Ron throughout the story and compare that with McKay's affidavit in (I think) blog 06 part one and "his" bar complaint in blog 06 part 2. The therapist (Stringham) noted the same thing in her report.

I'll track down references in the morning.
