If you have to posit God onto science to make it work. It is no longer science but religion.

Good question! In previous posts LittleNipper has stoutly maintained that only human beings have souls and no other life forms (including dogs and cats for examples) have them. If death of a human being is defined as the departure of the soul from the body, as LittleNipper obviously believes, what is it that makes the essential difference between a live dog and a dead dog, or, for that matter, a live paramecium and a dead one?

If dogs and cats and other living organisms can be alive without having souls, as LittleNipper obviously believes, it is irrational and inconsistent to insist that Humans necessarily also have souls. On the other hand, if we humans need a soul in order to be alive, it is irrational and inconsistent to insist that no other living organisms have souls. Either the possession of a soul is what defines life for all living organisms, or it defines life for none of them.

LittleNipper wrote:1 Corinthians 15 39 Not all flesh is the same: People have one kind of flesh, animals have another, birds another and fish another. 40 There are also heavenly bodies and there are earthly bodies; but the splendor of the heavenly bodies is one kind, and the splendor of the earthly bodies is another. 41 The sun has one kind of splendor, the moon another and the stars another; and star differs from star in splendor.

42 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.

If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body. 45 So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit. 46 The spiritual did not come first, but the natural, and after that the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven. 48 As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven. 49 And just as we have borne the image of the earthly man, so shall we bear the image of the heavenly man.

50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

None of that has the slightest bearing or relevance either for or against my argument above. This is typical of you. You know you can't logically refute what we are saying, so you often just cut and paste what ever you can find, whether it has any relevance to the discussion at hand or not, hoping that something will somehow stick.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

If you are LittleNipper you cut and paste. It's what you do. If you want to save 15% on car insurance, you switch to Geico. It's what you do.

Kolob’s set time is “one thousand years according to the time appointed unto that whereon thou standest” (Abraham 3:4). I take this as a round number. - Gee

Science is a means to an end. Science allows people to diagnose diseases and develop cures. Sciences enables man to create mechanical transportation. Science helps man understand weather patterns to increase predictability. However, to ask for GOD for help in understanding is not either unreasonable or silly. God already knows all the answers.

That must be why LittleNipper understands so much science.

What is the difference between GOD and God? Or do you just have a flaky caps key?

The only way that you could know that God "knows all the answers" would be if you knew all the answers too. Is this theist humility again?

God is omnipotent --- according to the Bible which the Messiah verified as valid. I sometimes use GOD when I refer to the Triune Godhead. But I do tend to use either interchangeably.

How do you know the Messiah verified the Bible as valid? Because the Bible says he did?
