And I opposed your opposal (is that even a word?) by pointing out that bcspace wasn't the all round good guy that you were trying to paint. I also oppose that you were opposed to looking at the thread I linked to in opposing your opposal.

P.S. Chap also posted a remark along similar lines to the two that you are opposing. So do you now oppose three or has Chaps post gone down the same memory hole you're shoving bcspaces unwarranted snickering into?

I'm not at all impressed.

Make it rhyme.

The opposer of my opposer is never, never opposed.
The matter now, supposedly, is ever, ever closed.

Tennis is no fun with only one player. I miss BC. He was almost always a gentleman in his posts and spurred some great conversations (not to mention a great subject for cartoons).

LDSfaqs has tried his best to fill the void left by Bcspace.

The fact is, Jersey Girl, that much of what bcspace claimed was thoroughly and devastatingly refuted. He is (or was) a classic case of backfire effect. The more abundant or more irrefutable the evidence against his claims, the more strongly he became convinced that he was right and that he was a target of unfair persecution and bigotry. It surprises me that you are unable to see that. He is far from stupid, though, and all it would have taken for him to realize how wrong he was would be to honestly apply the intelligence I know he possesses. All I and others are suggesting is that he might finally have done that and realized what a fool he often made of himself.
No precept or claim is more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

For goodness sakes, Gunnar, the fact is that bcspace was on this board for years. Long before you and long before this version of MDB. This isn't the only board that he was ever on. Do you not think that over the years, posters refuted his claims? Do you really think that while he continued to post here in Terrestrial and Old Testament that he suddenly had a personal revelation that he made a fool of himself and left?

Please.

Read sockpuppet's post on this thread wherein he claims that another of bcspace's accounts was closed on a non-LDS related board the same year (perhaps timeframe) that he ceased posting here.

What does that tell you, Gunnar? It tells me that yours is the least likely claim.

In any case, I have given you a gift in your PM's. It's evidence of one of the claims that I myself have made on this thread. Don't fool yourself into believing that this whole community observes boundaries, because not everyone does.

Enjoy the read!

The problem seemed to start when his own Church refuted his claims.

We simply invent new reasons, new justifications, new explanations. Sometimes we ignore the evidence altogether.” (Mathew Syed 'Black Box Thinking')

Oh yes, and that's why he closed an account that had nothing to do with LDS related discussions.

Yep, that'll do it. Church, church, church, church. Some of you guys are more devoted to the church than TBM's are.
