Who's More Likely to Beat Donald Trump — Hillary or Bernie?
Bernie is the more solid pick for the nomination. This has been true for months now.
Do career Democrats care more about winning in November, or not pissing off the Clintons? I guess we'll see.
The interesting thing is that Clinton is saying she'll campaign against Donald with the exact same strategy all the failed GOP candidates tried: by not playing his game, not getting sucked into the trash talk, and sticking to the issues. Right up until it's too late.
Good luck with that, Hillary.

EA says none of these polls matter.

EA says a lot of crap. Some occasionally sticks.

I still think Bernie's low negatives are a result of being being in the defilade of Hillary's shadow. Republicans attack Hillary because she's the front runner, and because attacking a Clinton has been the Republican pastime since 1992. It's a hard habit to break. Trust me, if Sanders were to somehow get the nomination, Trump would be calling him 'Bolshevik Bernie' from now until November, and his army of volunteers would be the new ACORN of talk radio.

Hillary is so, so much easier to attack, which is why. Bernie doesn't have nearly as many cons. What are they going to do, keep misrepresenting Democratic Socialism as Communism? Go for it.
On Facebook a buddy of mine explained it to a Hillary supporter like this...
"My candidate never successfully fought to reduce the sentence of a child rapist reduced to probation and has certainly never laughed about how guilty that child rapist was when later telling the story. My candidate has never pushed a country into war and then had to regret it later. My candidate has never promised to oppose a harmful trade agreement in public, only to work privately to ensure its success. My candidate does not express concern for big money in politics, only to turn around and fight tooth and nail for as much big money as possible for his campaign. My candidate does not take millions and millions of dollars from big banks for speeches and then promise to stick it to the big banks while out on the campaign trail. My candidate does not raise money for state Democratic organizations and then keep 99% of it. My candidate does not pay state officials to promise to vote for him at the Democratic convention. My candidate never called black youths superpredators, nor has he said they need to be brought to heel. My candidate does have a criminal record of sorts, though. He did get arrested for protesting housing segregation at the University of Chicago while your candidate was proclaiming her Goldwater girl status."
And this doesn't even get into her role in Honduras.

Yes, because the right wing media surrogates are primarily attacking Clinton on her role in Honduras or the fact that she once supported Goldwater and not Benghazi. Because if we've learned one thing about how Republicans engage in negative campaigning, it is that they stick to the button-upped facts and keep it about reasoned ideological differences. And they campaign primarily about things that are apt to bother progressives.
How could they ever find a reason to raise suspicion and doubt about Bernie Sanders? It's impossible.

Your problem is that you assume all things are equal. All candidates are equally bad because they are. The fact that the attacks on Bernie have been limited to a few minor issues like past support for the gun lobby, that's just because the Right hasn't dug up any juicy stuff yet. Surely we're going to find a long record of atrocious things like Clinton, right EA?
All candidates are equal. Unless you're Gary Johnson I suppose.

Man, I would love it if Bernie got the nod at the convention. Probably won't happen, though. On the other hand you have to admit 4 years of a Drumpf presidency would offer some awesome soundbites and watching John Oliver would be mandatory because he'd put the pussy on the chainwax.

The negatives surrounding "socialism" are for cold war boomers and the occasional GenXer who grew up listening to that propaganda. Today's youth are just as likely to feel negatively about "capitalism" as "socialism," growing up in triple income homes and watching their parents still struggle.
The GOP surrogates called Obama a "socialist" ad nauseam. I seem to remember him getting elected twice.

Perhaps that explains the work ethic I see demonstrated by millennials.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.
