I know! So we know that someone is a transgender man and not a man merely posing as one to gain access to women's restrooms for the purpose of committing sex crimes, how about we pass a law that requires them to wear easily visible identification on their clothes?

So many options to choose from:

Why wouldn't someone just then wear that then? Good question. How about society takes the law into its own hands and makes it a little, um, rough to be wearing that identification. That way, no one would willingly do it. Problem solved.

The same as a grown man dressing up as a man to gain access to little boys in the men's room.

No, it's not the same. With the transgender man, you (as father and openly MAN) cannot come into the womens' restroom to protect your daughter.

And of course 99% of sex offenders are MEN (even if they pretend to be something else).

He can take his daughter into the restroom with him. Or the daughter can go in with the mother. The son can also be taken in with the mother or father. Then there are family restrooms and single use. by the way, a trans man would be using the mens room, not the ladies room.

A parent can also stand at the entrance to the restroom their child is in. I've opened the men's room door to check on a child before.

Statistically, it is much more dangerous to send your child to a boy scout campout than a public restroom. I'm sure you are aware that young boys are also sexually assaulted by men (and women).
Heck, being in a relationship is one of the most dangerous things a woman can do. Much more dangerous than using a public bathroom.

Where should this young woman go to the bathroom? Do you think she would be safe in the mens room?

Many with a history of sex crimes seek situations to have acess to victims.
Considering this, as a father of a little girl, how would you feel about a grown man dressing up as a girl just to have access to your daughter and other girls in the restroom?

I'm not saying people pretending & dressing up to be the opposite sex are child abusers as much as I'm saying these special allowances could be used by sex preditors to prey.

If this were desirable to people who assault and abuse, don't you think that pedophile/predator's would already be cross dressing and doing this? For that matter, what about transvestites who wish to abuse?

Amore, why do you want people who look like men to be allowed in women's bathrooms at all times? In order to prevent men dressing up as women from entering women's bathrooms to commit sex crimes, you want to create a law that allows men dressing up as men to enter whenever they want. How does this help?

Yup, and it's thought stopping. You'll no doubt be happy to hear that last week while in a restroom located in a really nice hotel, noticing the floor to ceiling enclosure and fake louvered doors, I thought of you.

:-)

Best idea ever! Even our local McDonald's has them.

Nice! I know the Ritz Carlton has them. Let's see, I think Texas de Brazil does, too. They still are in rooms designated for men or women, but still.
