I would guess it is more like a third for each side and a third that doesn't care (the percent that don't care might even be much higher). At least that is my hope.

Mormons get their crumb after the humiliation re: Romney and Huntsman. The real power and prestige will be shared with the Evangelicals, not some "cult of Christianity" that dared to question pussy-grabbing as a presidential qualification. Evangelicals are capable of greater moral subtlety.
I don't know anything about the inner workings of the MoTab, but I wonder if there are individual choir members who just won't be able to stomach the idea of singing and performing at an event that sustains/endorses and honors Trump.
Would it be okay for such a choir member to abstain?

Apparently the choir that performs will consist solely of volunteers - and there are no penalties for not volunteering.

For 80 years, the Deseret News has not entered into the troubled waters of presidential endorsement. We are neutral on matters of partisan politics. We do, however, feel a duty to speak clearly on issues that affect the well-being and morals of the nation.
Accordingly, today we call on Donald Trump to step down from his pursuit of the American presidency.
Trump could be doing a "Romney for Secretary of State" move on the Tabernacle Choir. Invite them to sing, and then cancel at the last minute and leave them standing there in humiliation. Just as the Lannisters always pay their debts, Trump never pays his debts, but he always gets his revenge.

I agree. I actually think there is an additional benefit to the alliance now the cat is out of the bag on Joseph Smith's behavior. If members can accept T's immorality on behalf of the "greater good" then they will be more open to accepting Smith's.
