This is exactly what happened with me and my enthusiasm for the Book of Abraham. It got to the point to where I asked "is it worth all this time and investment of energy?" The NO answer astonished me. But, it's what helped break my shelf. Now don't get me wrong, it's been helpful and fun to read both sides and I appreciate that, but it's till such a frickin muddle.
Here is what I would like to see happen right now. I'd like to see you critique one of your old apologetic papers/articles on the Book of Abraham on the screen before my very eyes.
I'd pay 500 Monopoly bucks to see you critique you.
O.K., deal

I would find that FAR more fascinating than any other thread on any part of this board! You looking back on you, critiquing you. Not that you're here to fascinate me. And yet, you do.

I will tell you exactly why I think it would be fascinating. It's not because I think it would be entertaining. I think it would be an exercise in catharsis and I'd like to see that happen for you.

I'm at work on it right now. It may be a week or two but I think I will and I am ready to do this. When one has a major paradigm shift it changes how you think about everything. So this is fascinating for me to do as well. And besides it's my chance to bore the living hell out of all of you.

You don't have a boring bone in your body!
