Comparing Michelle to a Gorilla is hardly the same thing as criticizing Melania for her behavior and choices. Is this really difficult to understand?

Sure she is probably a nice lady, I don't really know. What I do know is that she is basically his trophy Stepford wife. She isn't particularly intelligent, she isn't well spoken, even worse she appears to be programmed. She repeats whatever he tells her to say. She makes excuses for him being a sexual predator, etc. She has been busted for saying verbatim the same exact things in all her interviews like a programmed robot.

In short, she is an embarrassment to women and poor example to our children.

Melania perhaps more than anyone, helped normalize Trump's behavior. She doesn't get a pass for that, at least not from me.

Sexual assault? No, that's just "locker room talk." Trying to have sex with married women while married to me? Well, "I don't approve."

She strikes me as someone who has really no brain and will do and say whatever is necessary to protect her 24k gilded lifestyle.

I'm not being distracted by anything. I was just curious what she looked like before they got married and ran across those pics after googling. It wasn't from watching news or reading the tabloids. I'm just overwhelmed by the hypocrisy displayed by the Republicans who for 8 years attacked Michelle in the worst ways when she was an elegant, highly intelligent woman who was a great example for our children to look up to.

Melania is the quintessential bimbo who doesn't appear to have a single original thought of her own. She struggled to form coherent sentences in English and looks like a scared puppy. I feel bad for her being married to a pig who probably mistreats her, but at the same time she made her own choices. But we're all supposed to ignore all of this because she looks hot in a bikini?

I disagree, Schmo. Kevin has pivoted to GOP hypocrisy as a rationalization. But reread his first few posts. They are ugly and demeaning.

And she deserves it because of choices she's made? Really? Sounds too much like "she deserved to get raped because she chose to wear slutty clothes."

I understand how you're reading that. When I first read it, I interpreted what he was saying to mean that Drumpf wasn't a good husband, and she chose to marry him; she could divorce him if she wanted out, for instance.

Like I said before, I'm not sure about the accuracy of Kevin's assessment of her character (or her intelligence - I'm inclined to think he's being a bit harsh myself), but I don't think this particular rant is motivated by misogyny.

But only Kevin knows what's in his heart, I guess.

I don't think that what's in Kevin's heart is that important. What's important are the words he typed out and posted.

He thinks he gets a pass because he voted for a woman. Kind of like being "saved," right? But that's not how it works. Those assumptions and "harsh" judgments he is making are, in fact, appealing to misogynist stereotypes: bimbo, stepford wife, trophy wife. If he doesn't want to promote misogyny, he should knock that crap off.

Or, in PC terms, he should check his male privilege.
