AZ GOP State Senator Karen Fann is out of control. The Cyber Ninjas that Fann hired are illegitimate election auditors. Their leader is a Pro-Trump conspiracy theorist.
Senate president still talking about subpoenas in Arizona vote audit
PHOENIX — Senate President Karen Fann said lawmakers might take new steps — possibly subpoenas and going back to court — to get information that Maricopa County officials won’t provide about ballots and equipment.
County officials, as promised, declined to show up at a hearing Fann had called for Tuesday where she wanted them to answer questions posed by Cyber Ninjas. That’s the firm she hired to conduct a review of Maricopa County’s 2020 election returns, including its 2.1 million ballots.
County supervisors submitted written responses on Monday but said they were done answering questions in what several called a “sham’’ audit. They noted that Cyber Ninjas is run by a CEO, Doug Logan, who previously said he does not believe Donald Trump lost the election.
Unfortunately, this is the result of hiring fake election auditors.
Secretary of State Katie Hobbs sends letter threatening to de-certify election equipment after audit
PHOENIX, AZ — ABC15 has obtained a copy of a letter sent by Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs to Maricopa County in which she threatens to de-certify the county’s election equipment that was handed over to the audit by the Senate subpoena.
In the letter, Hobbs said her office “consulted with election technology and security experts, including at the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, regarding the appropriate next steps, and each unanimously advised that once election officials lose custody and control over voting systems and components, those devices should not be reused in further elections.”
At the end of the letter, Hobbs advises county election officials that should they chose to reuse the equipment, they will begin the de-certification process.
Maricopa County’s election equipment was first used in 2019 for a Madison School District election. When they performed as expected, they were leased to the county shortly afterward for the cost of $6.5 million.
I find it extremely difficult to believe that very many Republican elected officials, including AZ Senator, Karen Fann, are still clueless enough to actually believe Trump's gargantuan lie that the election was stolen. I am convinced that the majority of Republican politicians understand full well how corrupt and pathologically dishonest Trump is, but don't dare publicly admit it because: 1. they are corrupt and honest themselves and 2. They cravenly fear Trump's retribution and that of his tragically deluded, nearly 70% of rank and file Republican voters who still believe Trump's lies. I have little doubt that most of them secretly resent or even hate Trump for having turned them into the craven, subservient little toadies they have become.
I very seriously doubt that even Karen Fann really believes this Cyber Ninja audit going on in Arizona is anything other than a ridiculous sham intended to curry favor with Trump and his sycophant base by having pretended otherwise.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
If it was up to me, GOP State Senator Karen Fann would be arrested over this complete clown show. But not all Republicans within this state have been in favor of this illegitimate audit. Four out of the five Maricopa County Supervisors are Republicans, and they have not been in favor of this so-called audit. They spoke out against it last Monday. Link
They ended up turning over the election equipment and records due to a Judge's order. Link
But that Judge was likely wrong in his decision.
State Sen. Paul Boyer, who previously voted in favor of the audit, now believes that the review is "ridiculous," according to an interview published by The New York Times on Sunday. The Republican-led audit has come considerable scrutiny over allegations of partisan bias, lack of transparency, general incompetence and security concerns.
"It makes us look like idiots," Boyer told the paper on Friday. "Looking back, I didn't think it would be this ridiculous. It's embarrassing to be a state senator at this point."

It is sad that The Big Lie has driven these Arizona Republicans to the point of insanity. You can't hand election machines over to crazy partisans employing Cyber Ninjas and expect that the machines to be allowed back in service. Most likely three Trump's would appear on the screen after you pull the handle and release a bunch of cactus needles.
