And he's^ a Mormon.
I fail to see how his clarification makes his statement any better. "It wouldn't make a difference to anybody"?!?!? What a horrible thing to say. Perhaps I'm just sensitive to the topic but I feel Z would be much better off deleting the comment and apologizing. Currently he is digging the hole even deeper. Glad to know he finds the whole thing hilarious though.
Mormon or not. This is not how respectable humans speak to each other.

Your statement is both illogical and flawed. You're speaking in absolutes making a blanket statement in which you're not entitled to make. It may be true that everyone here knows pretty much what I think. I'll grant you that. But to state that "nobody" cares is simply an overstatement and utterly unfair.
I trust there is somebody on this board and elsewhere that cares what I think and the argument I've made which crushes your apologetic argument. Your entire apologetic is flawed with illogical reasoning and appeals to unproven things that exist in your imagination.

FTR, I care what you think. I no longer care what zerinus thinks, because he doesn't deserve my attention.
Your entire apologetic is flawed with illogical reasoning and appeals to unproven things that exist in your imagination.
Of course it is, he's a rabid apologist desperately shoring up his own personal shelf.
I'll bet he daren't show his wife and kids what he's posting.

“When we are confronted with evidence that challenges our deeply held beliefs we are more likely to reframe the evidence than we are to alter our beliefs. We simply invent new reasons, new justifications, new explanations. Sometimes we ignore the evidence altogether.” (Mathew Syed 'Black Box Thinking')

That was not a "clarification". It was GJ's response addressed to you:
Thanks, Z, for hammering the point home. Whatever you hoped to accomplish here, you have failed (unless it was to effectively document what an ass looks like, then kudos to you).

No, I'm not killing myself over Mormonism. Not by a long shot. I'm simply using science and Egyptology to disprove the claims made by your founding prophet regarding Facsimile No. 3 and the Book of Abraham. You've not been able to defend your position using conventional Egyptology but offer the idea that there are things we just don't know as if my argument is invalid.

By giving you the finger he's expressing his real feelings. He's frustrated and defeated and is lashing out. I can understand that.

Your reasoning and logic is flawed.
Thank you. I suggest that you don't get too over-excited over it though.
