I've been doing that for quite a while now. Somewhere back in time when the poster in question said that he would stay off my threads I did the same for him. I went back seven pages to all of the threads that this poster started and I am not to be found in those threads. Back to Sept. 3rd. I stopped at page seven simply because I got tired of scrolling through the threads.

This is a very specific case. Shades has already said the he will be history if he trolls another thread. As Jersey Girl has pointed out, the only threads he has consistently trolled are Grinadael’s. Although Mak was ticked that MG posted on his thread, I honestly don’t see where he trolled it. Obviously there are those who will disagree.

I don't think that MG's posts as trollism here was ever in dispute. His post wasn't trollism.

Here is where I think you nailed it and why I think Mak threw up his hands in disgust.

In any case, I think it would go a long way in re-establishing trust between MG and the rest of the community if he agreed to this.

The point that folks are missing here and I'll try this yet another time, is that not only has this community developed a sense of distrust in relation to MG, some of our members (those who have departed) have developed a lack of trust in the recent moderatorial decisions that have been made.

That's why I think grindael left.
That's why I think IHAQ left.
And, that's exactly why I think Mak threw up his hands a walked.

IHAQ just posted on this thread earlier today. His post apparently went unnoticed by everyone but me. He states clearly what the problems are as he sees it. Yet not one poster has so much as given his position the time of day.

Those three posters who have left aren't threatening anyone. They watched MG troll the threads, take no personal responsibility for his own behavior by owning it, they watched him repeatedly claim he would do one thing or another and within scant HOURS he went back on his own word. They spent quite a long period of time trying to fight things out within the threads because they didn't want to bother the mod team. When they finally started sending in reports (as did MG) Shades threw up HIS hands and called for the first Jubilee I've ever seen on this board.

For crissakes, it's not difficult to see what the dynamic is, what has turned off at least 3 of our posters from participating here.

Shades made a ruling that I think some folks (the departed) see as too little too late. You and I both know, Shades will not change that ruling. In all these years, I have only seen him lift one ruling.

It's not going to happen. There's no reason to make further suggestions. There's no alternate decision on the table. But, my point is that there are folks here (the departed) who gave up in disgust and I believe they did so for the very reasons that I listed above.

More simply put, the Jubilee was seen as a slap in the face to them and their efforts here.

It's not that no one gave a hoot; that word is in the word-censor, so those of us who have it activated never saw what you were called.

I don't see how that can be true. Two moderators were on the thread. You yourself commented when I copied the post of origin to use for a later reply.

I can appreciate your point of view. I'm simply pointing out that I believe very strongly that it is you who is farting into the wind. And that you will wear out your life doing so.

But that's OK.

As I've mentioned, you need to do what you do. It's necessary, at least in my opinion. Although, truth be told, some folks may smell a stench in the air as you do so. And they will respond appropriately if they are able to do so.

People of all stripes are able to then make choices based upon 'further light and knowledge' and compare and contrast evidences coming from various sources. First hand accounts, and also through the biases/prejudices of others.

That's the way it should be.

I think others may agree with me when I say that your language habits fall within the designation of being "potty mouthed". There are ladies present.
