Long term demographic trends do not favor the Republican Party.

As black and Hispanic people start to get hammered with taxes along with the rest of us, their views on the beauty of Marxism is going to change. I've been amazed meeting patients from Cuba and Venezuela who detest Castro and Maduro. Many are working Hispanic men who pay out of pocket to see me since they don't benefit from Medicaid. Many of them understand very well that we need to enforce the border so we are not overwhelmed with poverty imported from their native countries. The Republican party might be more brown but there will still be working people to fill its ranks.

Do you agree that the last time America was great was during slavery?

Ironically it took a New Yorker to make America Great Again. I almost admire Trump more than Stonewall Jackson, who came from my native WV.

You didn't answer the question.

The main reason Trump won is that people don't vote based on ideology or policy and he captured a heavily split Republican primary while being a disliked candidate. Getting a ton of free media - including all major cable networks airing full campaign rallies repeatedly - because he was and is a clown was his single greatest strength. The single next most important reason is the way in which the media covered Clinton as scandal-plagued. There are plenty of factors beside this that you can go down the line on in decreasing order of importance / clarity, but that's a foolish task if you don't first understand that people mostly vote for reasons other than policies articulated by candidates in general presidential elections.

Trump has flip-flopped on nearly every major policy he campaigned on except white supremacy. It Ajax's position was correct, he should be abandoning Trump, but he's not. Because it's clear what Ajax actually cares about.

No, I don't think slavery was great and neither does Roy Moore.

If enforcing the border and cutting social welfare programs equals white supremacy than perhaps there is a kernel of truth to what you say. Otherwise you're just as lost as when you said DJT was just the Republican party's Herman Kaine moment.

Trump campaigned on not cutting social welfare programs. That's literally a key part of what is supposed populism is.

Using his platform to amplify far right propaganda aimed at demonizing Muslims is not "enforcing the border."

You're right. This is a special election, and Moore will only serve 3 years. My bad.

Trump while campaigning promised that he would not cut Social Security, Medicaid or Medicare.

I'll be shocked, absolutely shocked, if Trump goes after entitlements.
