And 60% of them said, in effect, 'Yes, I have been sexually harassed.'

There is a big, real, problem there. And no, you can't make it go away by saying 'well, women tell lies, or they are gold-diggers, or or they hate men, or liberals do it too.' And as EAllusion said:

Doctor CamNC4Me wrote:Chap,

You're assuming people tell the truth, even when they "have nothing to gain." I'd suggest that people will lie for no reason whatsoever because someone is engaging them for a moment, and they have an opportunity to get some attention. It's a dopamine hit to get attention, and what do they care if they tell someone a small, medium, or large lie?

So you feel comfortable asserting that the 60% of women who responded to an anonymous survey by saying they had experienced sexual harassment were probably mostly lying to get a dopamine hit?

We are into ROTFLMAO territory here.

Doctor CamNC4Me wrote:I don't know what kind of life experiences that you've had that lead to this pollyanna view of people's nature, but yeah, I'm comfortable believing that virtually anyone bothering to answering an anonymous survey have their own motivations to not answer questions factually.

It's so odd to see supposedly grown men act like wonderstruck children when it comes to human nature. Crazy.

Half a minute.

You are the guy who is radically skeptical that a significant number of men will, given the opportunity, sexually harass women - as indeed many women say they do, and as 60% of them said they have experienced in this anonymous survey?

And I am the person with the 'pollyanna view of people's nature'?

Accused - Matt Damon for having the gall to express an opinion on sexual assault

Accusers - Bitches and cuckolds

https://www.yahoo.com/news/petition-dum ... 40105.html

"This behavior is beyond enabling -- it's just gross. Matt Damon should not be in this movie," said the petition.

"Damon's inclusion would trivialize the serious nature of the charges against sexual abusers like Weinstein," and "show massive disrespect" to women speaking out, it said.

The same polling institution had 47% +/- 3'ish percent of women claiming sexual assault.

I couldn't find, from their site, the definitions they used to describe sexual harassment or assault.

So, you know, whatever.

In fact, I believe Chap is lying right now. What man deep down truly believes that all women tell the truth about whatever it is they're being asked? Dude knows people lie, but his motivation is a political one right now. He's anonymous, and he's lying because of a personal motivation

It's what people do.

QFT.

We are getting into deep weirdness here, When did I, or anybody, assert that anybody always 'tell[s] the truth about whatever it is they're being asked?' It is just that there are some circumstances which are commonly acknowledged to lead to greater likelihood of truthfulness than others - such as an anonymous survey. Is that controversial now?

Also weird is the invocation of 'what all men really know about women'. I decline to join this all-boy treehouse trash-talking club that Dr C apparently thinks 'all men' are signed up to. I use my brain, not my balls, in deciding what is or is not the case about the world.

Anything specific there that you have a problem about?

No, but that is a thing of the past. Women are now believed and reports are now taken seriously. However, if a man is sexually harassed by a woman, no one is going to believe him. In our culture men cannot be sexually harassed.

You literally just contradicted yourself and used the same logical fallacies you accuse me of using.

This is it, folks. This is your brain on social Marxism. Bizarre.

by the way, for the casual reader you'll not the 'progressive' types on this board only lose it when one of their sacred cows (no pun intended) gets attacked. For example, I can crap all over Mr. Peterson and none of these cuckolds comes running to the rescue. Complain about a fictional female character or be cynical toward a woman? The world is falling apart.

Crazy. It is what it is.

Please do read the stuff that people take the trouble to post, including this extract from the survey report referred to. I've bolded some stuff for you:

https://poll.qu.edu/national/release-de ... aseID=2502

Most men and most women surveyed said that 'sexual harassment of men is a serious problem'. If you never meet people who think that way, maybe you need to meet some new people?

Sixty percent of American women voters say they've experienced sexual harassment, according to a Quinnipiac University national poll released today.

Among women who say they've been harassed, 69 percent say they've experienced it at work, as 43 percent say social settings; 45 percent say on the street and 15 percent say it happened at home, the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pe-ack) University Poll finds.

Among American men voters, 20 percent say they've experienced sexual harassment.

Among all American voters, 64 percent know someone who has experienced sexual harassment and 30 percent know someone who has sexually harassed someone else.

There is no gender gap as 88 percent of men and 89 percent of women say sexual harassment of women is a serious problem.

A small gender gap opens as 59 percent of all American voters, 56 percent of men and 62 percent of women, say sexual harassment of men is a serious problem.

Your world, maybe.

I think the problem is that it is in process of colliding with reality, and has suffered serious structural damage as a result.

Doctor CamNC4Me wrote:So I should link and then post the named of the accused?

https://www.yahoo.com/news/fifth-woman- ... 51271.html

How about this:

Danny Masterson - That 70's Show

Accuser - Bobette Riales

Accusation - Multiple Rapes

Does that work for you?

- Doc

Whoa, this one has some interesting plot twists. It almost reads like a cheesy movie script.

One of Masterson’s accusers filed a police report in 2004 saying that she was raped in 2003, but the case didn’t move forward after the Church of Scientology intervened and submitted over 50 affidavits from Scientologists who denied the woman’s account.

According to two sources with knowledge of the case, the woman’s case file from 2004 vanished, leaving Deputy District Attorney Reinhold Mueller to reconstruct it.
