Dear Perfumaniacs,
I have some FANTASTIC NEWS! Today is Kashiyuka's birthday!! She turns 29.
As a reminder, she is, of course, 1/3 of Perfume, our (and everyone else's) favorite Japanese electro-pop group. She's the one with long hair and bangs. I'll post some pictures below.
This thread is the place to post your happy birthday wishes and any positive thoughts you may have about Kashiyuka. I'll get us started with some photos, below.

GOOD NEWS, EVERYONE!
Today, December 23, is Kashiyuka's birthday! She turns 30.
Now, who the Hell is "Kashiyuka," you may ask? Well, she's 1/3 of the Japanese electro-pop trio "Perfume," which in turn is the official J-pop group of MormonDiscussions.com (which in turn is the website you're reading right now). "Kashiyuka" is of course her stage name; her real name is Yuka Kashino, which rhymes with "Juke-ah Casino," with emphasis on the "ca" syllable of "casino" (as opposed to emphasizing the "si" syllable the way Americans pronounce it).

Now, how did she get her stage name? The original three members didn't include Nocchi (real name Ayano Omoto); prior to Nocchi's arrival her spot was occupied by Yuka Kawashima. Since she and Yuka Kashino (the one under discussion) both had the same given name, to differentiate between themselves they created their stage names by slapping the first two syllables of their last names to their first names, thus becoming Kawayuka and Kashiyuka, respectively. Kawayuka quit the band less than a year after its formation in order to focus on her studies; considering the incredible amount of fame and success the group went on achieve this has been widely touted as an incredibly unwise and unlucky move.
Kashiyuka "celebrated" her birthday by putting on a concert (with the rest of Perfume, of course) in Fukuoka, Japan, a major city on the country's southernmost main island.
