Interestingly, when the initial claim came out, I took it with a grain of salt because the source is known to be questionable. It certainly seems like something Bannon would think - Bannon's opinions of the people he was quoted as blasting aren't exactly hidden - but you wouldn't necessarily expect him to overtly say it. Given what's followed, I guess it looks more on the up and and up.

Obviously it does not follow from noting Bannon's criticism that you are now a fan of Bannon or find him to be generally reliable. That's elementary.

Bannon isn't that hard to figure out. Just think of a drunk guy raging against the government and you get Bannon. It's one thing to bitch about the government after a few rounds of whiskey, and it's another to actually govern. Breitbart is a better venue for him.

I can certainly laugh at the potential for infighting between the Bannon and Drumpf factions of his base (if there's really much of a difference there) and still maintain that Bannon is a lunatic. Charles Manson was right occasionally too.

by the way, at this point, it doesn't even matter if Bannon said those things or not. Drumpf has reacted to them as if he believed Bannon had said them. That's enough to create a rift.

The Mercers are cutting financial ties with Bannon. I suspect Bannon needed the white supremacist brigade more than they needed him, so I'm not sure how much that'll matter. It does seem like there's a significant rift now. You know Bannon has all kinds of dirt, but it's not at all clear what, if anything, he'd do with it.

unlikely. this event is yet another busy-work activity for the hair-on-fire crowd...its like the quiz and quasi-infomercials that play before the previews that play before the movie...it has no relevance or impact on the actual movie, or on the actual theater experience...heck, the lights are not even dimmed yet...all you have are some people yelling answers at screen, some people looking at their phones, some chatting among themselves, and yet others still in the lobby buying said popcorn. Much like the other wannabe scandals by the Lib/Democrat, there will be much disappointment felt by the anti-Trump mob.
