Ya think?

Which is why, if you actually read what I said, my suggestion was to stay away from writing anything where the subject matter contains hastily taken notes from other authors.

JP,

You're parroting his lie of actually "taking notes." What's more plausible? He has vast amounts of notes, kept and organized by topic, that he refers to or he just cobbles together pieces where he quickly plagiarizes the author?

You’ve been desperately trying to make this “hastily taken notes” thing fly a few times on this thread. I believe Lemmie has demonstrated previously that such a claim is untenable, the plageriasim has taken effort.

Notwithstanding that.

What did your friend say when you put that suggestion to him?
(A genuine person would say “You’re dead right, good suggestion, I’ll do that from now on” and mean it. But the fact that he has issued previous Mea Culpa’s and the behaviour hasn’t changed, is suggestive that he isn’t really sorry about it, just upset he’s been caught. Again.)

Seems his unintentional "note taking" is really intentional exact quotes.

Jesse Pinkman wrote:Kish mentioned something in an earlier post about the actual work product that I found interesting. Kish mentioned that it appeared obvious that Dan had an overall lack of knowledge when it came to the scientific subject he was writing on. I believe that is true, which is why, I’m sure, he took so many notes from other authors.

I had not even read the articles mentioned before this thread appeared because the subject matter held little interest to me.

Going forward, I would definitely suggest that Dan stays away from topics that he has little or limited knowledge of in order to avoid getting caught in this kind of serious trap again.

Jesse,

In looking over the thread, I don't see where Kish mentioned anything like what you are attributing to him here.

Maybe his brain is so wired that he memorizes lines of interest as he reads. In time the lines are recovered in his memory and he thinks they are his own genuine thoughts, unable to place the origins of the lines themselves other than to his own brain. He then contemplates citing his own brain and worried others will dissect it to find the source of the quotes, he decides to just type it out uncited.
