Which is why, if you actually read what I said, my suggestion was to stay away from writing anything where the subject matter contains hastily taken notes from other authors.

You're parroting his lie of actually "taking notes." What's more plausible? He has vast amounts of notes, kept and organized by topic, that he refers to or he just cobbles together pieces where he quickly plagiarizes the author?

What did your friend say when you put that suggestion to him? (A genuine person would say “You’re dead right, good suggestion, I’ll do that from now on” and mean it. I had not even read the articles mentioned before this thread appeared because the subject matter held little interest to me.
Going forward, I would definitely suggest that Dan stays away from topics that he has little or limited knowledge of in order to avoid getting caught in this kind of serious trap again.
