The only way Drumpf would give a crap about PR is if it were a territory of Russia, given that he's damned traitor and all.

If they want help, they should choose statehood and start paying federal taxes like the rest of us.

You should do a google and a wiki before posting.

Since Puerto Rico is a U.S. Territory only government employees pay federal income tax. All other employers and employees do not pay federal income taxes.

What if you had googled 'what-taxes-do-Puerto-Ricans-pay'?

This is what you'd get:

https://www.google.com/search?q=what+ta ... e&ie=UTF-8

Straight up and in your face it quotes Wiki:

The Commonwealth government has its own tax laws and Puerto Ricans are also required to pay most US federal taxes, with the major exception being that most residents do not have to pay the federal personal income tax. In 2009, Puerto Rico paid $3.742 billion into the US Treasury.

I just can't bring myself to believe you're this dishonest. So. I'm going to believe you're daft. It's an easier pill to swallow.

So why shouldn't Puerto Ricans have the same responsibility as US citizens to pay personal federal US income tax? They seem to be entitled to all the same benefits.

You're barking up the wrong tree. I think they should be brought into the union or cut loose.

You're not going to address your dishonesty?

And then you posted the wiki link. For some reason you think we're giant ____ ing morons and wouldn't, nay couldn't, notice:

The Commonwealth government has its own tax laws and Puerto Ricans are also required to pay most US federal taxes,[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] with the major exception being that most residents do not have to pay the federal personal income tax.[9] In 2009, Puerto Rico paid $3.742 billion into the US Treasury.[10] Residents of Puerto Rico pay into Social Security, and are thus eligible for Social Security benefits upon retirement. However, they are excluded from the Supplemental Security Income.

The federal taxes paid by Puerto Rico residents include import/export taxes,[11] federal commodity taxes,[12] and others. Residents also pay federal payroll taxes, such as Social Security[13] and Medicare taxes.[14]

Like. Is that what you do? You go to the source I just suggested you use, and then cherry pick an out-of-context line, basically lying or in Trump's words 'Fake News' and pass it off as supporting your erroneous point?

Why would you do that? Why would you purposefully lie like that? What's wrong with you?

So they should start paying personal federal income taxes like the rest of us? Would that be accurate enough for you? Show me where the lie is in that statement.

How many Senators and Congressional Representatives does Puerto Rico have?

Just CNN right now. I agree with Doc. Annex them or cut them loose.

If they don't want that, then it seems like they just want the benefits of American Citizenship without the responsibilities.

Representative CNN covered a missing plane with more fervor than it has the worst natural disaster in modern memory.

Just to be clear, you don't consider "political representation" as part of the benefits of American citizenship. How patriotic of a sentiment do you consider this? Ultra-American or Mega-American?
