Well, I like WV the way it is. I seriously considered buying a home there since hiking and rafting in WV is so awesome. I don't really care if WV'ians leave or not.

I find it a little disheartening you think stealing poor countries' brain resources is ok. I guess White imperialism never really goes away, does it?

It's no more stealing than a coffee shop offering better coffee is stealing from Starbucks.

Why do you want to harm WV by thinking it is Ok if people of talent want to leave WV? Shouldn't we set up an embargo system to refuse to allow them to go so we can keep talent in WV?

Also, why do you want to keep WV poor?

EA,

Look. We know you hate the United States as it is. We get that you say you're Libertarian or whatever, but the bottom line is you support virtually every_single_Marxist policy that Democrats propose. If you have a solution other than contrarianism feel free to express it, but this constant hate for White conservatives wears thin when you can't be bothered to offer a better a solution.

I await your inevitable nonsense.

Sincerely,

While there are a few Latin America countries that are objectively bigger shitholes than West Virginia, most of them are not. But you think you got a good taste of this crap, and according to you, your crap don't stink.

This is being said by a Bernie Sanders supporter to a Gary Johnson supporter. It's sublime.

Solution to what, exactly? I argued that people in WV should be free to move about the country, because the argument that this hurts WV isn't sufficient to overwhelm the personal freedom I think West Virginians ought to have. Likewise, I think people of other nations should be free to immigrate to the US even if this creates a talent drain on those nations. Or, put slightly differently, the fact that immigration from another nation might create a talent drain for them is not sufficient reason to forbid people from moving. This has the incidental benefit of putting America first, but really it's about the dignity of the individual.

The comment had nothing to do with sanctuary cities. That doesn't make a lick of sense given the context.

Most immigration in the last number of decades has been about importing people with money, talent and education. You have to go way back when our poor ancestors immigrated to the America's to seek opportunity, when immigration was more open to poor uneducated people. You support Trump because you are both racists and want to keep certain people out for their race, culture or religion.

I'm attempting to inuit his thought process on the matter since he watches FOX News religiously. I'm fairly certain abstract thinking isn't your strong suit, so you get a pass on this one.

No you don't. We still haven't gotten rid of chain migration which has nothing to do with importing people with money or job skills.

Sure we still let some in who are poor or uneducated just like our ancestors, but we focus more today on getting people with education or money. You have a problem with letting poor people like your ancestors were into the country to seek opportunity?
