There's a lot of room in between arguing that women are capable of lying and sometimes do so and arguing the vast majority of domestic abuse calls to police are lying women trying to hurt men.

Both of which you seem incapable of bringing yourself to admit to any degree. I can barely type this out because I'm shaking with indignation right now.

I'm absolutely stunned, nay, AMAZED, that a woman is capable of fabricating an assault story for whatever personal motivation.

Next thing you know Eliza Dushku will claim a stunt man assaulted her, broke her ribs, and then her and her mother sat on this for 25 years. Oh. Wait.

The male, of course, is presumed guilty by virtually everyone, to include James Cameron, director of True Lies, the movie in which the accuser and accused worked.

For everyone praising this kind of thing, don't you care about the men who are actually innocent and their lives and reputations are destroyed? What if this stuntman, whose livelihood 100% depends on his good name, is now ruined because an aging actress needs some attention and she's targeting someone who can't fight back?

Is every_single_man being accused of assault or harassment guilty?

Not sure how that is relevant to the topic, the woman obviously has mental issues. It is a 1 in a 100 million case, it just doesn't happen every day.

Not sure how that is relevant to the topic, the woman obviously has mental issues. It is a 1 in a 100 million case, it just doesn't happen every day.

The point is a lot of women lie about a lot of different things for a variety of reasons. The idea that we should default to belief when a woman accuses a man of sexual impropriety, assault, or rape is dangerous. We absolutely shouldn't do that.

I think we all agree some women lie, studies show that around 2 to 8 percent of reported rapes are provably false or unfunded. Yes 2 to 8% are demonstratively false. To make things worst the punishment for provable false rape accusations is not severe, women only get about one year in jail and no sex offender registration.

However, most women don't lie. All rape accusations must be taken seriously and all of them must be investigated. I think everyone here would agree.

Rather than lying I think a bigger problem is false memory as social psychologist points out.

Her version of events is he didn't pick up on non-verbal cues. Whatever the case may be he's now publicly labeled as a deviant while she bears no responsibility for her part in the matter. He's the perp. She's the victim.

There are way more unreported sexual crimes than false accusations. Don't panic doc, there is no massive witch hunt of false accusations. Women are not trying to hurt you .

If you are still very worried Doc then don't be around young women. If you are an employer don't hire young women (hire middle age women and young men so no one can prove discrimination based on age or sex). So calm down Doc and take my friendly advice, live a happy life.
