Last year, the Womxn’s March on Seattle made history, bringing 175,000 loud and engaged people to the streets. Then, in November of the same year, we saw record low voter turnout in Washington State. Just 37% of eligible voters participated in the 2017 elections.

Cool. Good job.

Yes, and that’s why the organizer’s of this year’s March focused on trying to channel the energy of this year’s March into inreased voter participation. I guess we’ll have to wait until November.

That's correct. I didn't like the march. I thought it was a bizarre display of narcissism, victim mentality, feminist supremacy, mental illness, and divisiveness. They had no coherent message, they came off as trite, and their righteous indignation is really circle-jerky.

Anyway. I see that you liked their march. That's nice.

I haven't really followed what happened this year.

Last year, my wife was one of those marching in Washington, DC. She didn't see any naughty bits signs (though there may have been some), and had nothing but praise overall for the demonstration. Her high point was a conversation with John Kerry. I'll admit, she did not carry a sign about the Selective Service.

While she was in DC with a cadre of childhood friends, I attended the local march. It was surprisingly large, given the small university town I live in. It was kind of fun; though, you're right, the message was diffused and more than a little self-righteous (the self-righteousness was as I expected--I've never gone to demonstration that was otherwise). Anyway, I saw no vaginas, neither real nor on signage.

I'm fairly certain most of the marchers that showed up will vote. I don't think it'll translate into winning the middle or getting people to cross party lines.

I think the point I'm trying to poorly convey is the march itself is counterproductive, does nothing to advance the DNC's prospects politically, and probably works against their aims since it's a potpourri of nonsense. This kind of politicking is terribly conceived in 2018, and shows a lack of awareness and political savvy that concerns me. If I were the GOP I'd maintain our course, and keep doing what we did in 2016 to win a majority.

Welp. I'm pretty sure his point was that women aren't demanding the right to register with selective service.

What did you think his point was?

Whole ton of women in the marches carrying anti-Trump signs. I haven't seen one yet that said "Hey Trump, when are you going to give women the right to register with selective service??"

Of course I haven't seen every sign that existed.

Honestly? Aside from my larger political point my underlying point is this:

That some women don't have one foot in the real world?

Or am I missing the meaning of the photo?
