McConnell Objects to Bill for Military Pay

Some questions answer themselves, Doc.

I mean if KG really wants to nail down a 'Gotcha!' moment with Trump, who himself was moaning about shipping companies skirting US taxes and labor laws by flying foreign flags, he'd question why McConnell, who is married to the daughter of a US shipping magnate and who gave McConnell millions in cold hard cash, might be motivated to subvert and coerce the Intel committee regarding the Russian hacking scandal and then be rewarded with his wife being given the Sec of Treasury position which itself would allow her father to continue making millions by flying foreign flags, even though his ships are 100% US owned and operated.

That seems to have more meat than some sort of hazy accusation that McConnell was taking money away from or threatening to take money away from military personnel in a power play.

Uh, that's BS. I just watched her interviewed this morning and I also watched a Republican respond and there was no comeback on his part other than, "This is something many lawmakers try to do from time to time but it is preferable to fund everything at once." Hell even McConnell's response agrees with this, which pretty much proves you're either 1. an idiot just making crap up or 2. quoting some Right Wing rag like dailycaller. If half of what you said were true then McConnell and the Right Wing propaganda machine would have had a field day over this.

Even the Right Wing Washington Examiner pointed this out:

I'm not going to get into a long winded pissing contest over this. It is obvious that you're clearly misreading my OP, probably intentionally just to salvage a win. If I had reworded it differently to say "MConnell on Camera Objects to Bill for Military Pay" and the point would have been exactly the same and you wouldn't have a leg to stand on in your attempt to equate the right and left. This is really about you trying to salvage your ridiculous attack on me, "promoting the same kind of hyperpartisan BS bloviating..." Many of my threads, such as this one, are for ribbing the hyper-conservative trolls on this forum. I already said that neither party truly wants to "hurt" the military. And I already explained that my post was in response to what the President and Vice-President recently said in the media about the Left wanting to deny pay to the military. Let's go back and look at what your OP actually said:

So which part of this OP did I deliberately misconstrue? The only part of your OP that described the linked video was the title, which I construed to mean "McConnell was caught on camera denying the military their pay. So, what exactly did I deliberately misconstrue?

What you did here was a classic mopologist dick move. Unable to defend your false and misleading OP, you turned to the classic mopologist baseless personal attack. Aren't you some kind of reformed monologist? After all the discussion about FARMS style attack, don't you know better.

So, you wrote your post in response to Trump and Pence lying about the democrats. If you wanted to do that, crafting an honest post that showed the lie was easy peasy. All you had to do was title your post something like "Trump/Pence caught in lie about Democrats and Military" or "Democrats have Military's Back on Shutdown Pay" Instead, you went with the equivalent of "Nya Nya, Republicans Do It Too." Besides being a weak argument (you've heard of the tu quoque fallacy, right?), you had to mislead folks about what the TV clip showed.

What excuses have you offered? That you mostly post to rib Bach et al.? Holy cow, man. You have a daily treasure trove of material to do that with without being false or misleading. That you only did it in response to Trump and Pence lying? How does that justify lying about what the clip shows?

Why do you think that the first thing after the shutdown vote, a democratic senator up for re-election this November in a red state jumped up to introduce a pay-the-military bill when everyone in the room knew that, if the shutdown went on, they would all vote for such a bill? This all started when you asserted "But both sides are willing to use the military as a cudgel to claim that the other wants to hurt the military." That's an idiotic remark and you have never backed it up. I asked you to, and you shifted your ground and said the Democrats don't have to because I'm doing it for them, which misrepresents what I said because I never said this.

Nothing in my post said the Republicans were trying to "hurt the military" and most grown adults would know this from properly comprehending my post. Saying you misrepresented my post intentionally is just a backhanded compliment of saying you're not that stupid. But maybe I was wrong, because here I am again having to point out to you what you misrepresented.
