Hey Shulem. You never had curiosity on what is like to have sex with a woman?

I was married to a woman for exactly 20 years and raised 3 kids. I know what it's like to have sex with a woman. I did it all. My exwife was the only woman I ever knew and that was enough for me to know it was not natural for me. Sex was more of a duty and something I had to do to please Heavenly Father.

Ugh.

Gay sex is sweet and I do it for me, not Heavenly Father or his stupid church.

And I can tell you...from a woman's point of view...feeling like your husband is having sex with you out of duty destroys your self esteem pretty damned fast. 30 years and 3 kids for me.

For the first time in my life, I have a sexual relationship with someone who is truly sexually attracted to me. The difference is astounding. I'm sure that my ex feels much better being able to have sex with another gay man. Just like your situation, Shulem, our situation now is MUCH better.
So you're chasing around a fly and in your world, I'm the idiot?

I had no idea. Well it is good that you are happy now. Were you always gay?

Amen to that. My boyfirend is laying here next to me and just read your post and smiled. We are watching a nature show about volcanoes and animals.

For a brief moment I thought your ex was Shulem

I am glad. Thankfully the LDS church no longer controls your life

Cases of gay and lesbians in heterosexual marriages must be very common.

I've always been gay. When I was 18 years old I was living a gay lifestyle. One night I heard a voice speak in my head saying, "Give up your homosexuality and go back to the Mormon church". I obeyed and went back to the church, served a mission, got married in the temple and raised a family. After 20 years of marriage my wife called it quits and I thereafter quit the church and embraced my true self.

Thanks for sharing your story. Your story is more evidence that "Revelation" is dangerous and can do a lot of harm. The apologists claim that religions are harmless is complete nonsense.

Shulem and I are good buddies. We have known each other for years. We have been able to commiserate with each other.

We do have very similar stories.

Thank you for your support. Yes, it is a relief to not feel beholden to the Church. My relationships are my own. I have a relationship with God. And I have a relationship with my fiance. I don't feel any guilt for having sex with him prior to marriage. Life is just too short. We are both adults.
