A Stormy Daniels legal question.

A friend of mine asked my why Stormy Daniels doesn't just go and talk about what happened. Trump can sue Stormy Daniels for violating the non-disclosure agreement. Forget about the legal case, what happens to Trump politically? He would be confirming that there was an affair and he payed for the woman's silence right before the election. Think about the legal trial against Stormy Daniels happening in the run up to the midterm elections. There would a terrible political price to pay for pursuing a lawsuit.

So for Res Ipsa or any other legal eagles, what would happen if Stormy Daniels actually admitted to the affair?

Totally disagree. Nothing about this story is damaging for anyone, especially not Trump. "Grab the P" set the bar pretty high....consensual sex doesn't offend anyone anymore...especially liberals who campaign on everyones right to do it whenever, wherever, and with whomever.

What is interesting is that the signature on the denial does not match her actual signature. Probably one of Trump's staffers anxious to not be late to a meeting with Kremlin representatives penned it in for her.

unless she denies the signature as being her own, or denies that which bears the signature, then they do not have to match....ever....you can sign every check this month a different way and unless you deny that signature before a judge, its a valid signature.

She got paid which seems to have been her only reason for threatening to go public earlier. I think the question is moot insofar as a story goes. Like Subby said, the bar was set a lot lower during the campaign. People who care already believe it's true. Those that don't are capable of brushing it off as none of their business if it were confirmed beyond dispute.

Now the question of a president being subject to blackmailing is another issue that subby really ought to explain his attitude towards. Last I checked people don't get security clearances for far less significant reason where leverage could be used to manipulate them in to providing classified information...or something sanctions something something.
