Swampiest Washington ever?
Trump liked to use the metaphor of Washington being "swampy" to describe the influence of special interests dominating the government and how things are done in Washington.
Considering the people Trump picked for his cabinet and how he and his family are enriching themselves due to his Presidency, it seems like Washington is swampier than ever. The campaign promise to drain the swamp seems like a combination of cruel trickery and voodoo curse of making things worse than ever.
Is this a correct perception?

Without a doubt, it's much worse now. It's so bad that Trump's own alligators are leaving swampland about as fast as he can send them in. Even Jared and Ivanka are apparently on their way out now that they have become special prosecutor targets and social media liabilities, respectively.
And Trump's big snakes aren't doing so well, either.

We have learned one thing about swamp management however - just be the last one to talk with Trump before he makes his final pronouncement on any issue (if there even be such a thing where Trump is concerned).

It's such a toxic swamp, some of the swampiest of swamp creatures are leaving voluntarily, and yet they can't seem to wash the swamp off.

Nope. Trump is just having trouble overstocking the swamp. It's still a stinking mess, but now with the added ability to enrich the Trump brand and family in new and exciting ways.

Things would go better for you if you would bother to read for comprehension before making another comment.

That will never happen. And I don't say that glibly. I'm genuinely saddened turd monsters like him exist because he and his ilk are indicative of why we're going into a regression as a species. I'd like to think we have people in positions of power, influence, learning, industry, and other avenues of culture that can overcome their consumerism, avarice, and celebratory ignorance.
Remember the 90's? Remember how the Internet was going to usher in an Age of Enlightenment? Yeah. Instead we've got Rush Limbaugh-cum-Alex Jones, Subgenius types, Bush II, the traitorous GOP, and now Putin-Trump. It's just mind boggling the level of intransigence and hubris people like him possess. Sad.

I don't know about "swampiest", but I've been really surprised by the turnover.
It's tough to compare the current Washington climate to past generations because there is so much more visibility into today's Washington, and so much less tolerance for "swampy" behaviors.

Ok, sure. Today it's being reported Trump got Melania into the US on an "Einstein Visa" and we still have people believing that he's somehow going to be ethical.
Uh huh.

These Trumptards can read that quote above and not connect the dots. They'll go into spin mode, or whatever the “F” hamstering they need to do in order to maintain their weird narrative that they elected a guy who is good for 'merica.
Ugh.
Day in and day out with this guy. It's pretty sobering what politicians can get away with.
