by the way, how many illegal immigrants do you have in your neighborhood? I would so much love to give some of you folks here a tour of what our country is assimilating into, you have absolutely no idea. But I'll tell you who does not live in these neighborhoods...the politicians that pander for their votes, and people like you. You preach liberalism and live conservative in your little bubble giving a few dollars each year and then write if off.
Anyways, send me the link that supports your assertion.
How would going on a tour with you inform one of the economics of immigration and wage growth? Wouldn't the best information come from economists who study these things for a living?

How would a tour of a disaster zone help a Governor understand the scope, magnitude, and ground reality of said disaster zone? Why would a General need to visit his troops if his advisers tell him everything there is to know? Why would an archaeologist need to go for a site visit in order to understand all the factors that go along with a dig? Why would a relief worker need to visit an impoverished country if all the mechanisms to deliver food and medical supplies are in place? Why would a biographer need to visit Atlanta when he's writing about MLK?
C'mon.

Are we going to pretend going on this tour is really going to tell you that much about how immigration really affects economics and wages? Are you going to keep ignoring the question about whether experts who study these things for a living would not have the best information? Are we going to pretend they also never leave their ivory towers?

Are we going to stop pretending these experts have "the best information?" That was an oddly Trumpian thing to say.
Anyway. I'm not overly invested in the discussion other than wanting leaders to look at the situation pragmatically, and then adjust their policies so the private and public sector can find a win-win situation for wage-based and lower salaried workers.

And where would leaders get the most accurate information to look at the situation pragmatically?

. Then seeing that you agree with ea, and did not address some of the examples that I gave...share with me the data you read that would make you agree with ea?

You can make numbers read anyway you like in a large economy, yet you can objectively take a tour of LA and alike and see it is turning into a poop hole. Especially if you lived here for 60 years and have watched it crumble. If they are so good for the economy, why are our schools, streets, neighborhoods, laws...falling apart. Can you see that in a report?

There are lies, damned lies, and there are statistics.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.
Total onboard with agreeing to disagree and moving on. considering our clown in chief is starting a global trade war to distract the media from focusing on the disarray in the white house, we probably have more pressing concerns we agree on anyway.
