I used to think that too. With all my heart and mind I thought I needed Jesus. I thought my life depended on it. I thought my soul depended on it. I thought my salvation and eternal welfare depended on it. But now I know better. I don't need Jesus, and never really did. It was all a part of my imagination and emotional need to attach to an imaginary figure/being that could take care of me. But I've since outgrown this childish need and have become a spiritual adult that has faced reality and realism. I'm stronger for it. I'm better too. I don't need Jesus anymore. I do need me however, and through me I can do anything I need to do to make things right.
You can too. It's time to put the little Jesus dolly away and grow up.
