Why is that funny, what do you know about Yucaipa...? Have you ever spent any time here?

Where do you live Hawkeye?

You can't even answer simple questions screech, like why you didn't move to Inglewood? or stay in Torrance...let me guess you moved to Irvine or Mission Vejo... am I close? What schools do your kids go to...Wood Bridge High?

Oh, look, more typing with nothing that would indicate that "SO CA" is in "decline"....More irrelevant questions to the conversation, more not understanding the difference between data and anecdote, more mining for articles (from australia no less) that confirm what you want to believe. Maybe check out the official boundaries of skid row to actually get a sense of where it is, you don't seem to actually have any idea what you are talking about or even understand where the official skid row is or what types of businesses have been popping in in "skid row".

Anyway, feel free to read my previous post if you are tempted to respond with more irrelevant nonsense. This all started because you claimed "SO CA" is falling apart and getting worse and worse but you have provided no data to support that. I get it, in your mind its getting worse and nobody will convince you otherwise, even those of us that live in the areas you tried to ignorantly use as your examples. You believe the church is true "SO CA" is in decline and you will not be convinced otherwise because, "experiences". Got it, in your mind you are right and everyone else is wrong.

Dude, you have lived in Yucaipa your. entire. life....

Your argument is that I live in Yucaipa, so I can't possibly know the homelessness conditions, and failing conditions throughout So Ca. Yet you can't even state what city you live in. Why?

I asked a very very fair question as to why you chose to move to OC, other than stay in cities like Torrance or Inglewood. Why not choose, Lynwood, Compton, or Boyle Heights?

Because you won't answer these questions, I can only guess.

No. His point is that data about So Cal is better evidence than personal experience.

He brings up Yucaipa because even if we had no data about LA, why should he trust the experiences of someone who has never lived there over his own?

Data about LA is better evidence than anecdote.

Data about LA is better evidence than anecdote.

Data about LA is better evidence than anecdote.

Someone in this conversation keeps going on (and on and on) about anecdote, even though data about LA is better evidence than anecdote.

If it helps at all, try thinking of data as an accumulation of thousands of anecdotes. Then ask yourself why anyone should pay more attention to the anecdotes of an individual over the anecdotes of thousands?

I've already agreed that you believe that "SO CA" is falling apart. Feel free to reread what I have written above is there is still any confusion - you don't seem to grasp simple concepts.

It also makes me laugh that, once again, you posted an article (which I have actually quoted here several times) with no explanation or any reason for posting it. Its funny, because the article has nothing to do with homelessness and the data shows exactly the opposite of what you claim about immigrants and the decline of "SO CA". You do understand that the data is just showing % change by city right? Some cities are quite small so the data looks more dramatic (I can't believe I have to explain this to a grown adult).

Nevermind...I repeat, I agree that you believe you are right because you have, "experiences". Nobody else has any relevant experiences to your belief so I agree, yet again, in your mind, you are correct

So you go from homelessness, to falling apart, back to homelessness. the Article show a decline which you asked for.

Why are you reluctant to answer my questions? Hmmm? Why did you move from Torrance to OC.

I spend more working hours in LA and OC during the week, and have for much of the past 40 years...I rarely work in the the IE.

It is just coming down to your avoiding the issues. and ducking my question to you that in all reality are based on the same argument you have against me..which is " I live in Yucaipa." Reminds me of a SNL skit; "Living in a Van down by the River." maybe your name should be Matt Foley.

There are reasons you moved to OC and I think we both know why...there are reason you did not move to Inglewood, and we both know why. Why did you move so far from your office in LA? My guess is that you probably work at home or have another office in OC...I doubt you commute it, and if you do...why did you move so far away to OC?

Do you live in Dana? or maybe Laguna? I would guess that is one of the reasons why you might not want to have lunch, you might have to actually be open?

Right or wrong at least I am being honest with you.

He has never lived in LA...he lived in Torrance? We both have worked in LA...I can get to downtown LA in about and hour and 15 min with no traffic...Torrance is about a 1/2 hour away...I can get to LA county line in a half hour, where our office is (Pomona).

He lives in OC now...and for reason we both know why but he won't cop to it.

My Drive to LA is like driving from Provo to SLC... and one can have a pretty good understanding of SLC of one works and plays there, but lives in Utah County.

Where do you live Brett?

I gave data about LA...that over 60% of the homeless are addicted to drugs or Alcohol...I gave data of drug issues in OC and how it has declined. I also showed errors in Glad's HUD data. I have showed data how buying power has declined in LA since 1960? I have given lots of data.

There was concern and data that showed that when we landed on the moon the Lem might sink...we had to land to find out.

When is the last time you have been to LA?

Um, no it doesn’t and it says exactly the opposite for most of SoCal. You really need to brush up on your reading comprehension, slow down and try to actually process the information presented. Your critical thinking skills are not proving to be very strong and you don’t even seem to understand what is being discussed. Feel free to go back and reread what I (and others)wrote several times above.

Markk wrote:Why are you reluctant to answer my questions? Hmmm? Why did you move from Torrance to OC.

I love watching you make idiotic assumptions that are irrelevant to the subject. It’s like you just need to continue to show us you have no idea what anyone is talking about. Dude, you have never lived in La or OC. You have spent your life in Yucaipa. Again, your shallow experiences mean nothing.

Markk wrote:It is just coming down to your avoiding the issues. and ducking my question to you that in all reality are based on the same argument you have against me..which is " I live in Yucaipa." Reminds me of a SNL skit; "Living in a Van down by the River." maybe your name should be Matt Foley.

No, you don’t know why but it’s hilarious watching you, in your ignorance of the areas you mentioned above, try to figure out why I might have moved. With every post you show me how little you know about the places I have lived and call your “experiences” further into question. In other words, your “experience” continues to be irrelevant and you still don’t understand the difference between data and anecdote. Again, feel free to read the posts above and try to comprehend them this time.

Markk wrote:Right or wrong at least I am being honest with you.

You are wrong and you “honestly” have no idea what you are talking about.

I served my mission in Orange County.

Jesus, even I have more anecdotal experience than Markk.

Omg, it’s like you tried to be wrong in every sentence you posted, it’s just becoming sad. Torrance is not in LA and your office is only 30 minutes away-lol. Your delusions are becoming more vivid and even less relevant.

You obviously didn’t read or understand what Brett posted. It’s ok, I get that you don’t really understand what is being discussed and you don’t seem to comprehend any of the things anyone is saying. Data dne anecdote. How do you not understand that???

Again. Slow down and reread the things people are saying before launching into another irrelevant rant.

It’s hilarious that you think that me moving from one part of “SO CA” to another somehow indicated that “SO CA” is falling apart and being decimated. Lol. Your critical thinking skills are sorely lacking.
