No more power (of love)

Post by _Jersey Girl »

Huey Lewis (67) has cancelled all of his 2018 concerts due to near complete hearing loss brought on by Meniere's disease.

I hate to tell you guys, but this song is on my workout playlist and has been for decades.

Best part: "Don't need money, don't take fame. Don't need no credit card to ride this train."

Not a huge rock star, but still...it's sad.

:-(

The heart of rock and roll is still beating...

Beethoven wrote the 9th while he was deaf. Different when you're a performer, though...

Huey Lewis is a little bit of a guilty pleasure, like ABBA. Middle of the road, safe, and very infectious. What you call work-out music I call house-cleaning music. What I play when I need to accomplish something with lots of energy.

Yeah, exactly that! Power of Love has been on my playlist for evah. It was part of my original work out yearrrrrs ago and I kept it. It's good for cardio, weights, and floor work. And, like you said. House cleaning (get it done) music.

I can't exactly say why a certain song makes it to my play list. It could be uplifting, power driven, cocky, rebellious or whatever.

I like what I like.

I feel for him...nothing like hearing and then not...it is so lonely..and yet the music is in your head.
