EAllusion did describe the manager this way. Maybe Schultz didn't but I still think she can sue him and I know plenty of attorneys who would take her case on this.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

No I didn't. Feel free to quote me saying otherwise.
I described her as someone who very well might be a bad apple in the sense of displaying bad judgment in a way that doesn't reflect on the broader organization. I don't know if she's racist. She might be; she might not be. If the Daily Mail article Res Ipsa linked was correct, I'd say she was, but I don't reflexively believe that. People I wouldn't describe as racists can engage in racial discrimination.

Of course she did. If you call 911 and ask for the police, the police will come as quickly as they can. They can get in a lot of trouble if they don't. That doesn't mean it isn't irresponsible to use the the 911 system this way. I don't think it is pedantic to point out that this wasn't a police emergency. This isn't a borderline case. There's a whole other police line specifically for these kind of issues.
I just went to two establishments in SLC this morning that required me to be a paying customer to use their bathroom. One was a gas station near a Home Depot where a lot of migrant workers congregate in addition to homeless meandering up and down the main thoroughfare, and the other was a small eatery located next to Pioneer Park.
I wonder how I might've reacted had I been a black man. Would I have thought they were being discriminatory, or would I have understood that they're trying to prevent their bathrooms being used for shooting up or destroyed?
I don't know since I'm white and a paying customer. In both cases the bathrooms were clean and serviceable.

It's interesting that this has been brought up several times but never addressed by either Cam or Ajax. I suspect Can just hates EA too much and Ajax we already know has racist thinking. If what you linked is true it makes a big difference in whether the manager did the right thing in calling the police. I would also want to know if witnesses heard them curse her or any employees for being denied the bathroom, although if they knew white people were not being denied I could understand why they might curse at them. Cursing at an employee I would view as reasonable grounds for asking them to leave, but do we have witnesses that say they were asked to leave.

Did the manager have a personal interaction with those other customers? Was she aware that customers were being allowed to use the restroom? Was she reacting to one of her employees setting the scenario up for her, in that the gentlemen asked to use the bathroom, refused to purchase anything, and acted out?
The fact that you and others on this thread are just champing at the bit to crucify this poor woman who was clearly put in a difficult position not only in that particular instance, but every_single_day strikes me as hollow and perverse.

Well, I changed my position right on the thread but who really gives a damn.

What the hell. He hates EA too much? That's it? That's the best you can come up with? He couldn't have a strong difference of opinion? He couldn't defend his position against opposing opinions or disrespect the guy?
No, he hates the guy.

It's kind of hard to parse out responses to individual posters, especially when arguments are had in bad faith or require an extraordinary amount of googling just to prove a silly and stupid aside, like, for example, that the manager was racist for calling 911 in a city where you're literally encouraged by the Philadelphia PD to call 911 if someone's dog is crapping. It's even more absurd when EA will continue to argue the 911 point because some bum “F” municipality has some differing guidance regarding 911 calls.
How can anyone take someone seriously when they, the latter, can't fathom being wrong?
