Doc, your argument is that complaining about selectively enforcing an anti-loitering policy against blacks, which is obviously bad if it happened here, is inappropriate because there are worse things happening in Libya that are more deserving of attention. This same argument structure can be turned on anything where a lesser offense is eclipsed by a greater offense somewhere around the world. That includes Jim Crow when it was in effect.

I was out walking along a commercial strip of various stores and restaurants, and felt the urge to use a restroom. I was about to use a Hardee's bathroom, but saw a Chick Filet a couple stores down, and decided to walk to that one instead. I figured if I was going to use a restroom without buying anything, I should use a restaurant I don't like very much.
However, out of a sudden rush of compassion, I decided not to crap in the sink this time.
