Political ad's, morning gripe

Post by _Markk »

It's that season, and here is Ca. Governor ad's are numerous. A common theme for a few that were in the past administration, but are now running for the top seat, is that they helped get California out of debt and balance the budget? The problem is we are, depending on what stat you chose to believe, in massive debt? We have unfunded pensions and bonds coming out of our rear ends? I have read anywhere from half a trillion to over 1 trillion total debt.

The real issue I have is that people I have talked with believe that Brown and his administration saved CA from the brink of financial death...even though we are taxed out here.

But California is one of the 14 states that have set new records for low unemployment rates, which Hannity has been recently proclaiming on his radio show.

California also set a new record last month. The Golden State's unemployment rate stands at 4.1 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). That's the lowest rate recorded since BLS began keeping track of state-level unemployment figures in 1976, and it's a third of the 12.3 percent unemployment rate California notched at the height of the recession in December 2010.

Jerry Brown took office in January of 2011 just one month after California's high Unemployment rate of 12.3%. Yes, Jerry Brown should have been a bit tougher with the public-sector unions, but California's unemployment rate has dropped significantly under his time as Governor.

And?

We are in debt up to our ears, our infrastructure is falling apart (his dad is rolling in his grave) and he and others are saying we are not in debt.

Yes, Jerry Brown should have been a bit tougher with the public-sector unions

ya think...?

You seem to be complaining about debt. Does that mean you are very unhappy with Trump and other Republicans and the recent tax bill?

If you like campaign ads, have you seen the one where the GOP primary candidate for governor threatens a teenage kid with a gun?

Very tasteful.

No, I am complaining that politicians lie about debt, whether Brown or Trump. In Browns case, he says we are more or less out of debt, yet keeps raising taxes while we actually get further in debt and less infrastructure.

That ad is just stupid...by the way..I am not a Republican if you are trying to somehow insinuate that I am.

This is the add that I was whining about...which is equally stupid.

Those tax cuts will help to curb California's enthusiasm for helping its citizens since it will ultimately reduce federal money flowing into California.

An equally big hurt is in store when the economy eventually collapses due to the new deregulations. Capitalism will always lead to its own downfall when not regulated. Sort of like the end of a monopoly game.

The National debt was at 19.97 trillion dollars when Trump became President.
The National debt is now at 21.17 trillion dollars. Link

It's hard to see when you are very consistent in complaining about Democrats but never see you complaining about Republicans or Trump when they are creating large amounts of debt for you while dropping the taxes for the rich by large amounts.
