I also agree. The US can't afford to send people to prison for a false memory because we have a mass incarceration problem. However, it is very concerning because nobody knows how common false memories are.
Unfortunately, there has been little work on understanding the prevalence of false allegations or pathways to these. This paper proposes 11 pathways to false allegations of sexual assault: (a) lying, (b) implied consent, (c) false memories, (d) intoxication, (e) antisocial personality disorder, (f) borderline personality disorder, (g) histrionic personality disorder, (h) delirium, (i) psychotic disorders, (j) dissociation, and (k) intellectual disability. These pathways originate in the psychological diatheses of the individual. Further research is needed into the frequency of these pathways, ways to accurately detect these, and whether other pathways exist.

My question is what do the liberals on this board think the penalty for this woman bearing false witness should be?
She and anyone else that makes a false allegation should be charged with a crime where the penalty is commensurate with someone who is convicted of rape or sexual assault based on a false allegation.
The damage done to innocent men who've had false allegations range from financial ruin, to imprisoment, to suicide. It's an absolute travesty to let this kind of behavior go unanswered and unpunished.
That said, do you think White women do this sort of thing, and if so why don't you make it a point to point it out when they do it?

Absolutely white women do this kind of thing. Lena Dunham even spoke at the DNC back in 2016. I posted extensively about the rape hoax she conjured as reported in Rolling Stone first and in more accurately later on Breitbart.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

But not all false accusations are a deliberate hoax. Many false accusations are the result of false memory. You think people should go to prison for having a false memory? Why? False memories are real and can even cause trauma. Do you think a 17 year old girl from Occidental college should go to prison for many years? http://www.latimes.com/local/la-me-0610 ... olumn.html

Are you saying Lena Dunham had a false memory?

I have heard of a case where someone accused a sitting President of the United States of wiretapping them. Of course, it was a lie, but in terms of bringing that bearer of false witness to justice, it would be nearly impossible because of the mental incompetency of that individual. It will just accumulate as another false statement in a long chain of falsehoods told by that unnamed individual.

Obama sent a spy into the Trump campaign who was paid to report to the FBI. That's a fact. After weeks of trying to keep the name of the informant secret, the argument from the left is now that the FBI was doing things by the book, and that there was nothing to see here.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.
I am only saying that most accusations are not a hoax.
Ok, so what does that have to do with my comment about Lena Dunham as an example of white women falsely accusing men of rape just like Tawana Brawley, Crystal Mangum, etc?
Honestly nobody cares about the falsely accused. Really, no one gives a rats.
I realize that.
What is the answer to your question?
My answer is that questioning the psychological history of a rape accuser is not just victim shaming. If they're too crazy to be held responsible for what they say under oath than perhaps the jury should know this when they hear her testimony.
