Our Narcissist-in-Chief found a way to make this all about him:

After his tweet on Me-Morial Day, this should not be surprising. Perhaps Trump will have Jeff Sessions initiate an investigation into Ambien, since that is what Roseanne said caused the tweet.

Fence Sitter wrote:She has tweeted out that she is not a racist just an idiot and that the tweet was a result of being on sleeping pills.

In a counter tweet, the makers of Ambien have stated that they know of no known racist side effects attributable to their product.

Love it.

That tweet from Sanofi has got to be one of the best so far this year.

Perhaps the FDA will force Ambien/Zolpidem into new clinical trials in order to rule out racism as a side effect. It might also be wise to run an Ambien/Zolpidem toxicology panel on all Trump's current nominees.

I suspect that the people who moved from Bernie to Drumpf in the general election did so only to spite Hillary Clinton, because they blamed her (whether rightly or wrongly) for Bernie not getting the Democratic nomination.

For me Hillary Clinton committed the unforgivable sin. Her sin was her vote for the Iraq War.

Many Bernie supporters voted for Trump because of his anti-war hawk campaign.

Yes Hillary is much better than Trump , but many Bernie supporters hated Hillary because of her hawkish history. Candidate Trump promised to stay out of foreign wars.

Hillary has blood on her hands.

I learned more about her Twitter history earlier today and boy, you got that right. I think what's heartening about this is that in spite of the inflammatory remarks and tone that emanate from the White House, a private business has drawn the line in the private sector and said, you can't do that here. I think this is what needs to happen from all of us as individuals, not only huge corporations. This is not unlike the Weinstein case and the onset of the #MeToo movement in it's implications.

We need to metaphorically take it to the streets in our own way and issue the same message: You can't do that here.

So...I'm happy that the Roseanne tweets led to her firing. It opens up yet another avenue for public discourse and action that counters the influence of Trump's campaign and now stint as President. We need to draw our own lines as individuals.

Xenophon wrote: I've seen it floated to go with the 2 and half Men approach, just let a billionaire played by a ridiculous comedic relief buy up the property but let the family stay because he feels bad because their crazy ol' mom/wife/grandma just passed. Sure it is a really trite way to try to continue a popular series despite losing your marquee star, but what's a studio to do?

It's a damn shame how she's attacking two of the cast members, saying they threw her under the bus. If I am not mistaken, Sara Gilbert was the producer. She and the one who played her son DJ, they both drew their own lines and put her straight up in her place.

I used to watch the original show and thought it was great for it's time. Just before the reboot, I looked up bio's on the various cast members. Laurie Metcalf has a degree in Theater, and a long solid career in acting. She has television, film and theater credits out the wazoo, and awards and nominations galore. She obviously has the acting chops to pull it off if they let her character come to the forefront.

All they have to do is continue on with the cast, with Metcalf and Goodman in primary roles. Let them put the screws to Barr and kill off the Roseanne character by saying she died by "self inflicted axe wound".

I'm serious.

Retitle the series "714 Delaware Street" or "Lanford" (I had to look that up) and keep on keeping on.

I was going to go with death from "chocking on a foot" or "hoof in mouth" disease (yes I know it is "and" not "in") but yours could work too  . The only thing I'm unaware of is who owns the IP and how that would all shake out in a legal battle over ownership.

What exactly did Roseann say? I thought Valerie Jarrett was Iranian. I didn't realize she was part negro until I researched it.
