I’ll give you a standing objection to faqs’ use of “The left” as a monolithic entity.
Meanwhile, Sam Harris imagines himself to be doing battle with "the left" and just recently compared the center-left liberal Vox Media to the KKK in terms of morality while describing its editors as the "far left." I'm starting to think "The Left" isn't an ideological marker so much as an amorphous designation of the enemy. Ldsfaqs has more in common with Harris than he knows.

Thus, the scientific method is exactly as I've stated. You pervert the method for your agenda.
The scientific method uses observation and experimentation to explore the unknown. Religion must obey divine revelation and authority. Obedience is the first law of heaven. This is likely the reason science and religion frequently come to different conclusions.

And in the vast majority of cases they come to the conclusion that the religion that comes out best is ... the religion in which they were brought up by their parents. Which is incompatible with other religions in which many other people were brought up, and hence believe in as firmly as the first group believe in their (i.e. mostly their parents') religion. And there is really no way to decide who is right.
That's very different from the way the institutions of modern science work. Those institutions aim to find ways of deciding between rival theories that will build strong and wide consensuses, based on non-subjective evidence. about how the physical world functions. And as anyone who has studied science seriously knows, they have achieved a great deal of success in that regard. It's a quite different ball game from Mormons v. Hindus, and all the rest of them (partly because it's often possible to agree definitively about who has won).

While Sam Harris is "on" the Left, I'm well aware he's not a 100% standard Leftist, especially in relation to his views on Islam. Further, I would recommend relooking at the way I "Titled" the thread.
I stated Sam Harris "and" the Left, meaning that they aren't necessarily together. Further, when I speak of the Left when it concerns Atheism, it's because it's primarily the Left who are the Atheists and who weaponize it most against Religion and the Right. It's not an accident that the majority who become anti-Mormon and Atheist are also Leftists.
Ever notice that almost the entire board is Leftist?

Fantastic, then they don't need faith, according to Paul, and also according to Joseph Smith's Plagiarism of Paul. Substituting your words for the prophets, since apparently they can't convey God's message as clearly as you can:
Paul should have wrote, according to subs wrote:Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not measured or verified, which are true
