You can interpret that similarity however you want. Is that how you need to characterize it?

I introduced the similarity. You characterized the the similarity between parties to either belief system as being indicative of being a moron.

Where you’ve taken that is your choice. ; )

I was pointing out the hypocrisy of a Mormon saying anyone's religious beliefs were stepping backwards in any way. It would be hard to find a modern religion that has its root more deeply set in the early 19th C. and unable to shake free into the 21st without losing it's identity. But whatever you want to think about peep stone Joe's successful con is cool.

Yes, you also believe in mystical rocks (be they planets or peepstones), and the concept of magical total planetary crystallization as a manifestation of baptism for inanimate objects.

Are you suddenly experiencing some kind of faith crisis in the midst of your LGBT tantrum?

I think the dynamic of gays being more likely to explore spiritual alternatives comes from growing up in a culture where homosexuality was seen as a spiritual defect.

Curious thing in San Francisco: There are fewer gay bars than there were 20 years ago. Why? Homosexuality is so accepted that the sociological stigma is gone in most bars. Gays and straights don't feel the need to go to different establishments. With respect to religion, as more people grow up in a culture where mainline religions become accepting of homosexuality, the less need gays will feel to explore spiritual alternatives.

Personally I feel astrology is a lot more accurate than it used to be. Probably computers and telescopes, but my horoscope is always correct. It just keeps getting better and more accurate, because it is based on solid science.

Horoscope sounds synonymous with peephole.

The interesting thing I've found about reading horoscopes is that every single sign is sooooo me.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
