We are also going to count on Congress, obviously, but we are signing an executive order in a little while. We’re going to keep families together but we still have to maintain toughness or our country will be overrun by people, by crime, by all of the things that we don’t stand for and that we don’t want..
Wow, that's mighty white of you, Trump!

1. The people in detention have committed a crime, it is a criminal offense for an alien to enter the United States (1)at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers, or (2) to elude examination or inspection by immigration officers, or (3) to attempt to enter or obtain entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact.

So, your ignorant reliance on twitter-memes is already stumbling and it hasn't even spittled off your bottom lip yet.

but hey, at least Trump is going to end the policy and poor governance tradition of Obama:
ACLU OBTAINS DOCUMENTS SHOWING WIDESPREAD ABUSE OF CHILD IMMIGRANTS IN U.S. CUSTODY
“These documents provide a glimpse into a federal immigration enforcement system marked by brutality and lawlessness,”
...
The students reviewing these records were shocked by the abuse and neglect these children were subjected to at the hands of U.S. officials.
The report also shows evidence of CBP holding migrant children in excess of the 72-hour maximum period permitted by law:

Punched a child’s head three times
Kicked a child in the ribs
Used a stun gun on a boy, causing him to fall to the ground, shaking, with his eyes rolling back in his head
Ran over a 17-year-old with a patrol vehicle and then punched him several times
Verbally abused detained children, calling them dogs and “other ugly things”
Denied detained children permission to stand or move freely for days and threatened children who stood up with transfer to solitary confinement in a small, freezing room
Denied a pregnant minor medical attention when she reported pain, which preceded a stillbirth
Subjected a 16-year-old girl to a search in which they “forcefully spread her legs and touched her private parts so hard that she screamed”
Left a 4-pound premature baby and her minor mother in an overcrowded and dirty cell full of sick people, against medical advice
Threw out a child’s birth certificate and threatened him with sexual abuse by an adult male detainee.

The report is based on over 30,000 pages of documents dated between 2009 and 2014.
maybe let your meme-expert Wyeth in on the secret as well.

but you keep that hair-fire going, mmkay......its all Trump, mmkay....you really care deeply, mmkay...

Wow, whooda thunk that the last Administration would have been able to responsibly face the problems caused by policy and fix them, but the current Administration exacerbates the problem, then wallows in blame-fixing, bomb-throwing, childish tantrums and continued failure?

Nice to see that you promote declining standards on this issue, subs. It’s too bad that the adults are no longer in charge.

Trump’s Plan To Stop Family Separations Is To Detain Families Together

That would conflict with a 2015 court order — which means lawsuits would be imminent.

Media personalities not working for FOX are pissed because the government is only releasing photos of detained boys over the age of 8, never releasing photos of toddlers and females. Probably because they want people to envision the detained children as a bunch of future MS-13 thugs.

Over the past few days legislators have been banging on the doors of detention centers demanding access only to be told no. Gee, what are they hiding?

If only there were some kind of program designed to keep families together, while their immigration cases are being processed. Ideally something with at least a 99.6% success rate of completed immigration court hearing attendance, and ICE check-ins.

Maybe something that helped with family case management. It could be called something catchy, like the Family Case Management Program. Man, if such a thing were to exist, it’d be really silly for someone to close it down in exchange for less effective intensive monitoring programs that cost almost five times as much for tax payers.

Has anyone viewed this executive order? If so, does it provide for reuniting the parents and children who have already been separated? I can't find a copy of it online yet.

Thank you @President for taking critical action ending family separation at our border. Congress must now act + find a lasting solution that is consistent with our shared values;the same values that so many come here seeking as they endeavor to create a better life for their families
