Not completely true. The main problem is the way that they often end up being discussed. Witness the current guy in the White House and his crazy rhetoric and dog whistling, combined with a border policy that was engineered to create chaos and sow divisiveness.

Talking about the issues without attempting to paint everyone you disagree with as animals or leftists, for starters. Or, not using the tactics shown in the images that I posted earlier would also be a good start.

I don't think talking about the issues is going to change things any. We either have a country or we don't. We'll either be willing to fight to keep it or we'll forfeit it to those seeking to take it. My money was on US citizens being unwilling and unable to fight back. But DJT's election surprised me as much as it did you guys.
I still can't understand why illegal immigrants are even permitted in American jails. Why is separation from their children even an issue? They should be reunited in their native countries with their children immediately without trial, court costs, or even be allowed to step on US soil in the first place. This asylum seeking is all just a way of getting around the law and demonstrates that the US is not a sovereign nation. The fact that nobody is allowed to say or enforce that without being labeled a Nazi is an irreconcilable difference that demands a civil war and secession.

Yeah, usually that's enforced when someone has publicly disclosed personal information about another poster that was gathered behind the scenes. All too often, though, it serves to protect people who actually harass and/or threaten a poster behind the scenes, from public scrutiny.
